Meh. I have my strong doubts that A400M can carry components of a S400 battery. Not just the dimensions but by weight as well. Regardless that's at least 8 sorties without considering the missile loads. These are huge 8x8 vehicles, lightest of which weight 30-35 tons. For example for the latest radar that was sent, was sent using a Qatari C-17.

We are sending lots of other stuff.

Greece? The US would probably shut down both countries' aircraft... before a conflict arose, and would even sell it as de-escalation. How clever and forward-thinking they are as Americans...

Against Israel? I don't need to write any more on that.

Against Russia/Iran? Their junk aircraft and drones still haven't achieved absolute dominance in Ukraine, which is embarrassing enough. No one takes Russia seriously in terms of conventional capabilities.

Analysis and partial reverse engineering to explore US Gen 5/Pre Gen 6 Logic? You don't need 40+ machines for that...

For NATO missions? You don't need F-35s for that; the Eurofighter/F-16s will suffice until 2040+.

Prestige in the F-35 club? I don't see any added value here...

Access to MRO and spare parts and parts manufacturing via TAI and TEI? That's the only logical reason I've found. Whether it's enough is another question.

They could just not spend millions on donations to US politicians to boot Turkey out of JSF; but they did that.

There's nothing suspicious about anything. Israel worked for more than 5 years actively to make sure Turkey didn't get F-35s and it is still working actively to keep the laws that enabled this to stay on line. And then we have Bibi and even Greek PM on live TV saying "Turkey not being able to get F-35s is actually great for us".

Only Turkey's rivals and some small onset of Turks support Turkey NOT getting F-35s. It's comical.

Okay, but why do we need these F-35 aircraft strategically and militarily? There is no question that Greece and Israel need them, and the likelihood that they will use them against us to exert pressure is real.

But what do we gain from this? Israel's QME is guaranteed by the USA, which means that Israel must always be militarily superior to everyone else in the region. Conversely, this means that using the F-35 as a tool against Israeli pressure is unrealistic.
So someone needs to explain to me logically why and for what purpose we need the F-35. You can't use them against key rivals, period!

Next thing even if Turkey receives the F-35, no one can rule out the possibility that the RAM coatings, avionics and radar will be limited in terms of hardware and software compared to the models used by Israel (Custom Version) and Greece (Full US Version maybe). Turkey (Light Version maybe) cannot verify this, as it does not have a US reference Model for comparison.

That's why TAI KAAN and its drones are a variable that Israel/Greece cannot control, either with ITAR or blockades/sanctions; they cannot scale up, but we can, no matter how good the F-35 may be, even with later blocks. If TAI KAAN can have 140-160 units by 2040+, including 100+ Kizilelma & Anka 3 drones, there's no turning back. What is there is there; it would be a fundamental shift in power in the region. The US cannot stop this, only slow it down.

It’s all just for show… Don’t focus on what’s being said, but on what’s actually happening.

In geopolitics, the latter is what matters, and that is the real significance: there is no Turkish return to the F-35 program.

Any delay—however welcome it may be—caused by statements regarding the return of the F-35, such as the delay of the TAI KAAN program, is a stroke of luck for them.

Both the USA and Russia were co-ordinating their actions in syria against Turkiye. Do you remember the flag games they would play so we couldn't hit the PKK. We had the EU threatening us with sanctions not to protect our own interests/sovereignty. The iranians and their shia death squads were also active against us. Every single regional and global player who had a stake in syria wanted Turkiye out of Syria except for the actual Syrian people fighting the revolution.

S400 was purchased by ak party thinking they would gain favour from Russia, this favour they hoped would gain Turkiye favour in Syria. Then by buying s400 it would create pressure on the USA to backdown somewhat against us in syria, fearing that we could move towards Russia.

The opposite happened. The USA seeing that we brought s400 used it screw Turkiye harder and the Russians seeing that our connection to the USA became much weaker used it f'k us harder.

As for the F35, american weapons have never been sold to Turkiye to defend our interests, they are sold to Turkiye to defend american interests. However zionists are desperate to start a war against Turkiye sooner rather then later. Turkish policy should be to buy at least 10 years more of development time, ideally 20 years. After that were good for a big regional war, Turkiye can make massive gains from war at that point. But we must not be baited into a war until our airforce is made by us.

If the zionists go even madder then they are now and launch some kind of attack on Turkiye, we must not repeat the limp dicked mistakes of the iranians. If they hit Turkiye, everything including sending a marching army via syria must be launched. It may be that several million solders will have to die in this war since we will have to fend off against the greeks and the american attacks. But a few million dying is better then the entire destruction of the Turkish nation and the Turkish race with it.

I wonder if the US interest in bringing Turkiye back into the F-35 program has to do more with tapping the country's manufacturing potential. It has attempted to shift Turkiye's role in the program to some other nations but from what I hear that isn't going as well as the US hoped.

I suspect Turkiye's return is inevitable but the government is trying to extract maximum concessions from the US in negotiations before an agreement is reached.
