It is Türkiye's first land-launched Ramjet engine missile developed by #DELTAV company.

Technology: Ramjet Air Breathing Engine
Cruising Altitude: 4 km
Cruising Speed: 2.5 - 3+ Mach
Range: 150 km
Fuel Type: Solid
Cruise altitude 4km!!!????
I didn't know minumum altitude of ramjet missiles are limited. I thought they could skim surface at very low altitude. So the high altitude would make the missiles vulnerable before the radars???

Or I misunderstood the given information? 4km is maximum cruise altitude?

Think of it that a Ramjet is like a turbojet Engine.
There is no bypassed air thrust involved.
What is burned in the combustion chamber is exhausted out from the nozzle as total thrust.
Except, It just doesn’t have any moving parts inside like compressor blades or turbines.

It is an air breathing engine. It needs oxygen from the air.
Too low, then the dense air increases drag.
Too high, then oxygen content may not be sufficient.

For optimum cruising where there is enough air and less drag, they are suggesting 4000m altitude for this specific design.

A ramjet (or a scramjet) engine should have a maximum altitude corridor of 20 to 40km depending on the design of the rocket and engine. As air gets rarified in higher altitudes the ramjet/scramjet rocket has to travel at high hypersonic speeds to provide enough pressure for combustion. Theoretically this type of engine can go as high as 75km. But the speed at which it has to travel to get oxygen from air at that altitude will have to be so high that the pressure build up would cause structural limitations in it’s design.
