I always felt Turkish teams lacked professionalism. Its a bit like how you behave at home compared to how you behave at work. Turkish football doesn't seem to create a divide. The Turkish players behave how they would behave away from work. Many of them get rattled very easily and the opposition has always exploited this.

This lack of professionalism is why on the one hand i think Turkiye is good enough to win the group, yet by the same token i don't think its impossible they lose all 3 games.
Exactly this 💯. But if they get their minds together, they truly can go far , of course the lady luck needs to be present

28 minutes into the game, Australia scored a ridiculous goal against Turkey

Turkey's defence is literally non-existent
Australia is nailing its counterattacks strategy

It isnt about whether Turkey wins or not but the fact that such a stupid mistake cost Turkey a goal

Turkey's attack is good with possession in Turkey's favour and multiple attacks against Australia. However, all what Australia had was one good attack and they nailed it

If Turkey's defence doesnt wake up, they may actually lose

Another goal for Australia
Turkey probably lost this match
Turkey's performance is so bad its flabbergasting

Turkey probably needs a miracle to pass the qualifiers with this level of performance
Turkey's defence is non-existent
Turkey's GK is meh
The level of attack of the Turkish team is good but the degree of mispasses and discoordination make me wanna cry

Too much hesitation, too much passing. Australia's defence was like an impenetrable wall. Türkiye pussyfooted around when going on thr attack.

Embarrassing loss for such a good team. Australia meanwhile, played like they wanted to win.

Debatable honestly. They have talent sure, but hardly a "team".
yeah sorry that's what I meant, it's full of talent and individual players do well at clubs, but there is a lack of cohesion.

By all means Türkiye was the better team on paper, but oh gosh did they underperform despite having more shots on goal and more possession.

Australia is a sporting nation. They invest a lot of money and effort into sport. Football was never a strong point though.

For its population Australia punches weight above its weight and it's because there's a huge emphasis on sports here.

Unfortunately despite Türkiye being a huge talent pool for footballer players and the general population being football fanatics, somehow we've completely lost the magic we had in prior decades, despite arguably having the best team yet in terms of individual players.

Mismanagement? Not enough money or effort being invested? I don't know but certainly there's something wrong.

For Turkey to have a chance in passing the qualifiers

>needs to win 6-0 (at least) against Paraguay
>should pray that the US vs Australia match doesnt end in a draw (which highly likely it will)

I guess Turkey should say goodbye to its world cup dream if the US vs Spain match ended in a draw

Australia didnt have a strong defence bro. The whole team was literally on defence mode from the beginning of the match till the end aside from that one African player in attack

The whole strategy was literally to have all the Australian team members defend with their lives while the African made take the appropriate counterattack and turn it into a goal

Our last entry into WC was 2002, before that it was 1958. We never had that magic honestly save for individual talent and greater camaraderie in 2002.

Lineup was shit for this match and Montella is out of his depth. Australians used a very simple tactic of all hands on deck defending trusting on their bulky defenders and very fast nimble counterattacks when they got the ball every 30 minutes. Stats only show that TR simply did not have any finishing power whatsoever and live viewing corroborated that as well.

I didn't have much hope anyway but this was an abysmal result. Shoudln't expect a miracle but let's see.

No spirit, no passion, no tactics, no teamwork, no nothing.
Good that i was not stupid enough to spend thousands for hotel, stadium and plane tickets. Afterwards i'd probably end up in jail too for physical assault on Kerem Aktürkoglu.

For such a huge footballing nation. We historically produced very little top class players in Turkiye
Arda Guler, Zeki Celik, Merih Demiral, just three I can think of thats decent and can do well in European top teams.
i like Yunus Akgun, Baris Yilmaz, but no one can tell me they're top-tier at all. But I least like Yunus as a RW.Kerem is good too I suppose.
We rely too much on Germany, Holland it seems, heck Austria too for Mert Muldur.
And for me the reason is simple, importing too many foreign average players. Victor Osimhen aside, none should be in Turkiye taking place of our kids to play.
if we brought in genuine top players in their prime thats fine, but we don't.
