The final coating should be blue grey antracit ish,so its not final paint.
I am just curious, usually before final painting the base coating is either yellowish or greenish (based on the chemical composition).

Its not exactly white,its yellowish white.
Probably indigenous,maybe something new.

So KAAN with white base coating is rather unique.

Colour can be literally anything. Depends on the layup fibers/matrix dye...one or both can be hot pink if you want it....but that kind of thing would look unprofessional and probably needs some extra calibration when testing EO/IR signatures without RAM application etc.

Have Blue (nighthawk) was something close to white as well iirc before they slapped some camo on it too. It went fully jet black lot later.

I guess some of the "yellow" and "chrome-free" primers end up looking whitish or some kind of white beige (also depending on the final topcoat layer that might not be perfectly colourless/transparent).

I'd like to clarify my previous response that I was treating the underlying composite and epoxy primer as one unit visually....epoxy primer would likely have a different colour (to composite matrix) to check for even coating etc.

In the kaan video, you can actually see a few shades different in certain parts (engine area, cockpit area, wing body) depending on the application given to those parts relative to most of the body.

If Kaan P0 were in the position of P1,
1. The intake position would not match.
2. The underside of the intake would be visible. The angle of the intake also appears to have changed.
3. It appears that, as the engine spacing has been increased, the spacing between the vertical stabilisers has also been increased. At the same time, the shape of the rear array base between the engines has changed slightly.
4. Horizontal stabiliser shape.

Third prototype (P2?) of Kaan will test weapons, both external and internal

KAAN'a silah entegrasyonu üçüncü prototipte başlayacak TUSAŞ Genel Müdürü Mehmet Demiroğlu: "KAAN P0 uçağı halihazırda uçtu, Bu yıl iki KAAN uçağını daha uçurmayı planlıyoruz. Ayrıca şu anda yapısal ve yer dayanıklılık testleri için kullanılan bir adet statik test uçağımız da mevcut. Hedefimiz 2028 yılı sonuna kadar KAAN teslimatlarına başlamak. Üçüncü prototiple birlikte KAAN'ın silah entegrasyonu ve gerçek mühimmat atış testi faaliyetlerine de başlayacağız. Bu testler hem kanat altındaki harici silah istasyonlarını hem de uçağın gövde içi silah yuvalarını kapsayacak."

Providing information on the timeline of the domestically developed engine for KAAN, Demiroğlu stated, “Hopefully, the work on our domestic engine is continuing intensively. We will start its tests around 2032. When we produce it domestically, there will be nothing left that is not domestic. We will start deliveries as a completely domestic and national platform.”

Tests in 2032 means, even if they are aerial tests, it'll be a year or two before deliveries can begin. At best.

The only reason deliveries can take that long is if we hit supply chain problems in which case making the engine a couple notches less powerful will probably save the day already. Remember the TS1400 approach. I believe a version of the engine can be seen flying as early as 2029.

Those same supply chain problems will probably hit every maker in the market as much.

If first installation 2032 and B30 production in 2035 happens, literally öp başına koy; best case scenario.

If we have successfully completed this project in 2035 and domestically powered aircraft are actively in the operational inventory, that would be an extraordinary achievement. Personally, I would be delighted, and öpüp başıma koyarım.
