Abrams is Getting Replaced (OMT)

M1 Abrams has been in service in US military for 40 years. But now the time of its glory is coming to an end, a project called Optionally Manned Tank, OMT, has been made public with 3 out of 4 concepts declassified, which is meant to replace M1 Abrams in the future.

It will still be at least a decade until it happens. And in the most likely case, there will be another upgrade package for the current iteration

Several of their F-16s have been upgraded to the latest blocks...so why not? Also, they have around 1200 F-16s while F-35s number a lil over 200...it will take some time for them to replace everything

End of era but not really because even with the F22 and F35 still has not replaced the formidable and legendary F16, F15 and the Fa18 Hornet.
