response to recent nimitz battlegroup perhaps ?

USN battlegroup is already using the South China Sea as their LoC since decades ago, and they are don't have further ambition except for preserve the status quo and put freedom of Navigation as everything even they don't acknowledge UNCLOS since beginning that's why Indonesia had to giving them face by providing ALKI lines, the Chinese is different in nature meanwhile they are ratified UNCLOS but they only ever implemented thing convenient for them, they are thoroughly hipocryte to the bones

Indonesian Navy Applies to Take Two Type 209/1400 from the Brazilian Navy

The Indonesian Navy is in an advanced stage of negotiations with the Brazilian Navy to take two of the four IKL-209 submarines belonging to the Submarine Force (ForSub), which are being made available to the international market, due to the wide renovation of the flotilla of Brazilian submersibles.

Indonesians operate two Type 209/1300 ships, commissioned in the early half of the 2000s, and three others, Type 209/1400, built by the South Korean group Daewoo under license from the German company Thyssen.

According to the American NGO “Nuclear Threat Iniative”, the most modern of these 1400 boats - 405 Alugoro -, launched at sea on April 11, 2019, has yet to be formally commissioned by the Indonesian Naval Force, which is expected to happen this year.

According to the Naval Power, with a source from the Navy Command, in Brasilia, it reinforces the Jakarta Government's interest in Brazilian ships, the fact that the admirals of the Asian country positively see the possibility of maintaining themselves in the operation of submarines with German technology , as are the ForSub moored at the Almirante Castro e Silva Base, in Guanabara Bay.

Despite this, in 2006, the respected news agency "France Press" reported that Indonesians were considering purchasing a dozen new submarines from Russia (which sold six to Vietnam), South Korea or China.

More recently, in October 2012, the “Jane's World Navies” yearbook reported that Indonesia's Strategic Defense Plan for the year 2024 argues that Indonesia is equipped with at least ten submarines.

If you were referring the currently underwater part of Sunda Shelf,

Its been a while tho.

My statement before goes to sunda shelf (lautan yang terbentuk karena terendamnya dataran rendah sunda besar)

that sea, were the most busy water teritory of Indonesia. With average shallow depth compare to other part of indonesian water.
But, i clearly doubt that we has proper mapping of its seabed.

Back then when german send its U boat much of them ended up sunk at java sea, and we didnt know wether japan do the same at our water too.

Since that case, its clear that we need much vessel with proper sonar.

Its make me to conclusion that java sea to natuna sea is the best spot for sub and Underwater Autonomous Vehicle to play all along.

Well, , ,
What i think today, that perhaps we will not have any proper vessel that at least on par with Chinesse type 54 frigate in this 5 year 😂

Not even 30 FFM could beat type 54 frigate

I'll take it with proton sized of salt tho.

Perhaps same fate as interim Fighter, and Boats.

Don't know how our MoD progress right now.
