A more interesting capability is the underwater SOSUS laid by India, the US & Japan. Now that Quad has officially come into play it would be an interesting development in IOR. For now, there seem to be 2 SOSUS in IOR (1 Indian sosus, 2 Fishhook laid by Quad). But there is not much in the open on its capabilities.

On Friday, Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Lofven discussed with his Indian counterpart Narendi Modi about the possible sale of the Gripen multi-role fighter to India during a bilateral online summit.

In an effort to further boost Saab's offer to India, Lofven said the Swedish government is 100% supporting the Swedish company for the deal. He also reiterated the potential huge technology transfer Saab is offering in favor of the 'Make in India' concept. Read more here

Not happening. IAF already stated rafale will be the last imported fighter. And large number of LCAs have already been ordered.
Navy isn’t interested in a single engine fighters on carriers so its a no no there too.

Gripen really doesn’t fit anywhere in the indian ecosystem to begin with.

Nah dominating it is complete different ball game. But it will keep us in 1st tier presence level/reach up to say mid-century.

relying too much on static defense could be fatal, think about port Arthur.

Well its not going to be reliance on it.....but rather to augment the more dynamic assets.

We need to keep good tracking and sensing of the opponent's assets in the IOR.

interview meandered into many various topics, quite an interesting one to me though.

@Joe Shearer et al. would like to hear any of your thoughts/comments etc...

I rather liked it, having watched it independently; a point of view that is rarely presented. He stays well clear of any controversy, and particularly of any controversies relating to his or his father's roles. He does make some general points of value. The overall impression is of an intelligent man keeping his balance and maintaining his dignity during a period of falling fortunes, and unfaithful allies.

Its a start. In a decade India will be exporting a large number of Radars & SAM systems. Drdo just reached a mature stage in rocket systems I believe.
Also in radar. LRDE is, and traditionally has been, one of the best DRDO labs; they make up for the dismal performance of many others.

The corresponding shipyard is ADIK (Also known as Anadolu Shipyard), however again a different choice* but no concerns about their quality and experience.
The render was shared in one of the recent events by TAIS (corrected, i wrote ASFAT before by accident) CEO, ITU SAVTEK student club's seminars.

Also in here:

Pakistan: LSS was by STM + a shipyard + a private design contractor
Turkish: DIMDEG (RAS) was by SEFT design (private design contractor owned by Istanbul Shipyard) + Sefine Shipyard
Indian FSS: ADIK + a private design contractor
