Thanks bro for understanding us. Wish everybody was like you. They don't really understand what we are going through here.
I don't fully understand it like you do, because you have to live through it. But I'm not blind to see what my family that was not as lucky as my part of the family has to go through. I used to drive a lot of carpools and had many Turkish students with me in the car back in the days, they had recently started working for Bosch, Daimler, Audi or Porsche somewhere around Stuttgart.
I used to work for Bosch and we had many engineers from Bursa on a temporary job. And I would always ask them if they would consider going back. The answer was always no.
Why would they? Patriotism is not going to fill your stomach. These guys will make 60-70k here, work 35h per week and get the over hours paid. They made enough money to build a house in Turkey and feed their families.
But its not only the money, it was the freedom, the rules and the chances they get here. Many of the new arrivals in Germany from Turkey, highly educated, in the big cities actually avoid many local Turks.
I have a spine and I'm not going to lie. Do I feel warmer and better in Turkey? yes I do, would I prefer living there? yes I would. But I would only consider moving to Turkey, if I could my living standard and would not have to be scared of saying something against the government and end up in jail for a couple of years because of a tweet for example.
