Thanks bro for understanding us. Wish everybody was like you. They don't really understand what we are going through here.

I don't fully understand it like you do, because you have to live through it. But I'm not blind to see what my family that was not as lucky as my part of the family has to go through. I used to drive a lot of carpools and had many Turkish students with me in the car back in the days, they had recently started working for Bosch, Daimler, Audi or Porsche somewhere around Stuttgart.

I used to work for Bosch and we had many engineers from Bursa on a temporary job. And I would always ask them if they would consider going back. The answer was always no.

Why would they? Patriotism is not going to fill your stomach. These guys will make 60-70k here, work 35h per week and get the over hours paid. They made enough money to build a house in Turkey and feed their families.

But its not only the money, it was the freedom, the rules and the chances they get here. Many of the new arrivals in Germany from Turkey, highly educated, in the big cities actually avoid many local Turks.

I have a spine and I'm not going to lie. Do I feel warmer and better in Turkey? yes I do, would I prefer living there? yes I would. But I would only consider moving to Turkey, if I could my living standard and would not have to be scared of saying something against the government and end up in jail for a couple of years because of a tweet for example.

French national anthem is more horror lol

Seriously if he did a bit more research he would understand why the words Fear Not is used.

Just trying to put his modern day two cents opinion on a anthem that was written during the Turkish independance war.

Instead of looking at the time period and the context of the words and the intentions.

Seriously man social media has created this narcisitic culture I know everything look at me so I gotta show my superiority. Remember I know more about your country than you do when you fix their mistakes and expose their inaccuracies they say you are brainwashed.

I know its horror but I have to say the French anthem would be in my top 10 of national anthems.

Lyrics are violent but it sounds good and really gets you into that patriotic spirit.

It was written during the French revolution so it really makes sense especially the lyrics.

Sorry, but I can't understand this paragraph. Maybe write that more simple or fix the paragraph (add point, comma. Don't have to be right, at least I get the punctuations.)

Same here man. Likewise I tried pointing out the same issue refering to people who has experienced the 90’s. Invoicr collection, refunds, salary lines buying usd/mark. I’d think ppl in EU would be saving grace for voting, but I realize that 70-80% are from Konya/Anadolu religious uneducated ppl mostly ( were back in 60-70’s).

Interesting, it's usually the other way around in Romania. Usually, having experienced better governance and rule of law, Romanian expats in their greater majority, are highly critical of the ruling class, trying to emulate what they see in their adoptive countries back home.
Turkey has gotten past that stage and now admired by our expats due to superb governance and brilliant results seen everywhere.

Here is why there can not be a deal with Egypt.
How shameless they are!

So far Egypt's requests:
- Turkey should sign UNCLOS
- Egypt will not have diplomatic relations until making sure the requests are fulfilled
- Egypt will sign maritime boundary agreement unless Turkey fulfills and agreement with Greece and other countries (referring to Cyprus)
- Turkey should withdraw all forces from Libya and halt any strategic progress and withdraw mercenaries.
- Turkey should fully withdraw from Syria and shouldn't interfere in Iraq's soils.
- Turkey should apologize for the actions taken against gulf countries , the process will be monitored by KSA and UAE.
etc
etc.
(Not even writing it doesn't make any sense on diplomatic bases from now on, things related to muslim brotherhood members and returning them to Egypt)
Note they often refer as "Turkish regime" not "Turkish Republic" , it is not by Sputnik we can be sure they have carefully chosen these. Even makin these requests and using such a language is an insult, if this is done officially and not replied in accordance we can freely swear at people at charge of the process on Turkish side.

TFW, too much opium mate, reduce it!.

Thats not a harsh answer , this only shows how out of touch they are. Sisi is much weaker than Erdoğan at home. Eygpt will gain significantly if they choose to work with Turkey. It will be very hard for them to sell this narritive to Eypgtians in the long run. I think this is a textbook UAE interference in Eygptian Politics. They wanna stop any reapproachment with Turkey.

Well, I think they need Greece/Cyprus more as that translates having Italy, France, the EU on their side. They have complex military constracts with these countries and they facilitate the much needed access to the European markets for Egyptian gas. The UAE and the Saudis are potent financial backers which Turkey can't substitute.
Let's face it, Erdogan has isolated Turkey in the East Med, the worse it can do is restrict Greece/Cyprus from accessing potential gas reserves but Turkey won't access them either. Loose loose all around.

This tense relations cant continue forever. Everybody knows it. Oneway or another things will improve. Egypt is a major gas producer and Turkey is a major gas consumer. If President Erdoğan losses next election It makes all the sense in the world that Eygpt would sign a maritime delimination aggrement with Turkey because if they do that , They could built a pipeline that could supply Turkey with much needed Gas and this would also counter Russian Gas , making Russia less Relevant in Nato Turkey. You can bet that USA would defnility go for this.

The issue with Egypt is, they have already repeatedly harmed themself with the EEZ deals they made, how can u expect rationality from non-rational people? That whole affair doesnt have a future and I think Turkey needs to make some steps back because this isnt going anywhere.

What we know is that the oil is running out and Sisi will have to adjust to this fact and thats why from a mid term perspective we have the longer arm. Patience and rationality but no 360 moves, that makes u appear weak and attackable.

A lot of people in this sub will support this, but I'm against it. Jail those that broke the law, but a party that is representing around 10% of the population should not be banned. That's undemocratic and the AKP should know better, since they were on the brink of being banned a decade ago.

Guess that MHP has Erdogan by the balls.
