Kazakhstan to issue 3,000 additional transit documents to Turkey in the first place
According to a written statement from the ministry, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoglu underlined that in an online meeting with Beibut Atamkulov, the two countries attached great importance to relations with Kazakhstan, noting the long-standing fraternal relationship.
Karaismailoglu noted that Turkey's position as kazakhstan's main transit route for transports to Central Asian countries remains. Karaismailoglu thanked for the 12,000 additional transit documents provided by Kazakhstan last year within the framework of the talks and stated that a definitive solution to the problem of additional transit documents should be found in order to avoid further overstebbing of transports and trade and to prevent this problem from happening again.
"We will give Turkey 3,000 additional transit documents in the first place," Minister Atamkulov said during the meeting, noting that they would do the necessary work for additional transit. Atamkulov proposed that the technical delegations meet shortly and discuss the details, and wished to further the brotherhood of the two countries.
At the end of the meeting, the two ministers reportedly agreed to hold a "Joint Commission Meeting on Land Transport" in early May.
