Unlikely to ever materialize.

Will India remove its embassy/consulate in PRC with new embassies/consulates in RoC? Unlikely.

Even among supposed Iron Brothers, China and Pakistan, despite history of close cooperation on matters of strategic interest, it is hard to bridge the racial, culturual, religious or linguistic gap.

Chinese businesses, if they are privately owned, make their own decisions. They would rather invest in culturally familiar Vietnam, maybe even North Korea in the future if DPRK opens its economy up to foreign investors, rather than Pakistan or other ASEAN members which were closely influenced by Indian culture.

Taiwan and India are even further apart on all other parameters of interest. The reality is East Asians only see Europeans/descendants as "superior" to them, by and large, and of any relevance. The rest of the world matters little to them. This includes India, of course.

No government in Taiwan can force private enterprises to invest their own hard earned money in India. Even if bureaucracy or red tape issue is resolved, I predict this supposed partnership will never take off.

Figure being quoted in that is goods only.

Including services, India total exports are like 500+ billion a year....and Taiwan around 400 billion....but his point more or less stands.

True.

Compare with South Korea, about twice as big as Taiwan.

Its manufacturing output easily exceeds India's.

Its total export of goods and services exceeds India's.

Its export of goods exceeds India's.

Its current account and trade surplus also exceeds India's traditional deficits in current account and goods and services trade.

All that without a massive source of cheap labour to exploit, abundant supply of land, water, natural resources, renewable energy to exploit, agricultural output, minerals and such.

On top of that, South Korea has managed to produce some notable globally recognized Chaebols, much like Japanese Keiretsus which are more numerous of course.

In that regard, India must also be described as a laggard.

The less said about most areas of interest in high technology sectors, the better.

At least eight people died and 384 were rescued after a glacier broke triggering an avalanche close to the Indo-China border in the Indian state of Uttarakhand on Friday, a government official said.

"Eight bodies have been recovered. Rescue operations are in progress," a defence ministry official told reporters on Saturday, adding that six of those rescued were in critical condition.

The road access was cut off at 4-5 locations due to multiple landslides, after an avalanche struck in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district on Friday evening, the official said.

A state official also confirmed that at least 8 persons had died and more than 300 were rescued by the army personnel.

Efforts are being made to revive communication network as roads are closed due to heavy snowfall, Tirath Singh Rawat, chief minister of the state said in a Tweet after an aerial survey of the area.

A glacier breaking up and landslides in the state in February resulted in a flash flood that left more than 200 dead and swept away two state hydro-electric projects. read more

@Nilgiri @Jackdaws @Zapper @FalconSlayersDFI

Kind of lost appetite on Indian politics lately. It seems to me revolving door of various repackaged goons and goondas.

If any conversation I can contribute to pops up, I'll share my 2 cents, but others have to pitch in first heh.

Dear Thumbi believes it or not the voting right is the only right that gives some power to the common Indians and creates a kind of fear in the Indian polity class.
Now people start understanding the value of votes and democracy, at least some of them has started voting beyond caste, creed , region and religious lines
