Can you Pakistani or Indian friends translate this?

Skipping through very quickly:

- A work in progress.

- Concern about it co-developed/exported to Pakistan, Bangladesh

- S-400 issue, context of the program (F-35 issue) etc

- Newer media stuff w.r.t potential malaysia, indonesia cooperation/interest on TF-X etc

=================

There is not much given to actual TF-X tech itself past very cursory stuff (stealth, 5th gen etc).....it is mostly a geopolitical analysis (from his perspective)....overall stuff which you guys already know a lot about anyway I think.

He talks about a 5th gen fighter, A Turkish fighter labeled as muslim fighter, Didn't go in to specifications b/z he claims they are not specified yet due to engine c/z it's not selected yet. They wanted to get help from Pakistan.
Then Turkey bought S400 and US ejected them from F35 Program, In which they were producing fuselage and they had a contract of 1.3 billions. 100 F35 were planed to be bought and 8 were produced for them and delivery was halted due to S400 Purchase. They sacrificed every thing for S400 which costed them 2.5 Billion dollars.
TFX project was accelerated due to these events.
Then bla bla bla..... etc Turkey cant do it, Pakistan is poor and incapable, They will sell them nuclear technologies or take them to China for help :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: according to the expert it is possible because Turkey consider Pakistan a partner in TFX and also looking for more and talked to D8 countries except Iran and Egypt.

Malaysian is considered as they have composite material manufacturing plan, Indonesia can join in due to KFX But AGAIN THEY DON'T HAVE THE MONEY.
Turkey will replace all F16s and are building engine in corporation with Rolls Royce, They are looking towards Russian for help .
They don't have engine it is impossible to even complete the design phase .
Temel Kotil said every thing will be indigenous Radars, avionics and munitions, he thinks (Temel Kotil) the partners who wants to buy the jet should join the project.

In the end VERY LOVELY WORLDS WERE USER : "All the partners Turkey is looking for are poor and their king is Pakistan, If you add Pakistan as a partner the only thing you will get is BEGGING"
And the expert is claiming it will not complete i.e design studies till 2025.

What a load of :poop:
There you have it, an opinion from an indian expert. :cautious:

Happy now ?

Has Turkey made stealth materials for TFX already?
There are some places which has been working on RAM for a while (10-20+ years, some more recent)
Tübitak MAM (Material research center)
Hacettepe U. - Aselsan JV
Gebze Teknik U.
Kimetsan (private company)

Some of the firms/institutions has done several works for air/naval platforms and probably they will also be doing RAM- Paint /Coating studies for TF-X.

Does Turkey plans all stealth+Sensor based platform or some aspect of aerodynamics too?
Cause we know stealth kills aerodynamics

Short answer: There is no reason that a low observable aircraft should suffer in maneuverability, if properly designed, and the F-22 and YF-23 are proof of concept.
Again, if an aircraft is properly designed for a particular role and maintains strict design discipline and focus on the goals for the program, there is no reason a stealth airplane cannot possess good fighter qualities with low observable features included. B-2 does demonstrate stellar aerodynamics blended with LO features.
So with the experience of BAE systems and what we know of stealth vs aerodynamics behind us, the TFX is going to be both aerodynamic and manoeuvrable as well as stealthy. TFX, in terms of sensors, stealthiness and manoeuvrability, will be somewhere between f35 and f22. (This last statement is not mine. It was used by Mr T. Kotil, the Tusas CEO)

good very good
this is where f35 and f22 failed
they went for all stealth
so now f22 has the best RCS but pretty much has old avionics.electronics and sensors
they planned whole sensor and EW packed f35 with medium aspect of stealth but money tore the program, infact f35 was a good fighter but tons of software issues.
turkey has chosen good.

but i wanna ask is turkey going for EOTS DAS for TF-X if yes had they already developed or developing?

TF-X will be somewhere between an F-35 and F-22 in terms of kinematic capability.

"Turkey May Have To Buy Fighter Jets From Russia Because Of The USA"

1621363954714.png

Turkey was completely removed from the F-35 JSF program, citing the procurement of the S-400 air defense system; This situation was officially reported to Ankara last month.

In a report on the subject on the Voice of America website, Presidential Foreign Policy Advisor Mesut Hakkı Caşın said, "Washington is forcing Turkey to deepen its military relations with Russia." his interpretation was given.

The following remarkable and warning statements of Mesut Hakkı Caşın were also included in the report: “Turkey needs 200 warplanes but the USA does not. In this way, the US forces Turkey to buy warplanes from Russia in a sense. "

Russian Federal Military Technical Cooperation Service (FSMTC) "If you want to continue negotiations for the Su-35, we are ready. Same for the Su-57. If our Turkish partners are interested, we are ready to start working on this issue. " After his announcement, the issue was on the agenda.

Defense Industry President Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir said, “These planes were offered for a while. They were looked after. But deciding to buy Russian planes would mean a great system change in our current setup. Changes need to be made in a number of areas, from pilot training to aircraft maintenance. This should not be simplified. So if you are in a very difficult situation, we do not say "no", but buying a Russian plane has its own difficulties. " He had made the explanation.

In his previous statements, President Erdogan had stated that Turkey had to buy the S-400 Air and Missile Defense system from Russia because the USA and its allies did not give it.

> The Statement from the Presidential Advisor imply that Turkey may want to acquire 200! Fighter Jets which seems a lot. Perhaps it is a Negotiation Strategy but this advisor is not regarded as too competent.

TAI CEO, Temel Kotil reiterates once again that the TFX will be delivered to TuAF in 2028. He says having had it’s first engine firing in 2023 and following a 2 year test period, the TFX plane will be delivered to the airforce in 2028. There is no escaping from this fact. Since it is known that there is no F35 to fill the gap , he says, has made everyone working on TFX project all the more willingly to finish it as soon as possible.

2023 + 2 = |2025 - 2028| = 3 years production time.
Design time has to be fully allocated but squeezing production time is still possible.
