The microchip side is a national system. There are other components that come together to create a complete detector.

I visited their site ..but its so weird .. that they produce outstanding FPA despite they are small and not well-known firm ... Are u sure that this tech is local ?!

Yes, it is local. It is connected to Aselsan. It is a design company production is done at Aselsan facilities.

I revised their products ..its a roic not a FPA ... Aselsan till now is the only firm that produced a FPA product ..but still didnt go to mass production (640*512) uncooled microbolometer ..
Its planed to start mass production this year

I made some research .. they have been producing roics since years ..
But FPAs are more challenging .. it tooks decads to mature .. so hopefully aselsan projects to be completed successfully soon

They can get FPAs from many countries like japan,korea,uk despite embargoes

Nope. You have to sign an end-user contract when you say the end-user will be Aselsan or Turkish Armed Forces no one sells FPAs. These are the companies that have FPA production capability.

It's a really old map which I modified to include Aselsan's capabilities sometime ago... Aselsan is currently maturing T2 SLS production capabilities.

"no CATS targeting can be produced because of the embargo" sounded a little funny. There are hundreds of companies that you can buy these detectors from, you can even remove them from civilian cameras, with the name Insider. You keep "sallayıp" based on assumptions.

You can't get any information from here about who is being the possible supplier of the some parts.
Anyone who explicitly talking, is probably not telling the truth.
There are several parts still being imported from reliable partner companies, yet there is an ongoing domestic effort to develop critical parts independently.
Gürcan Okumuş has given some insights about it, by telling:

"in future (a few years) Turkish IIR seeker will meet the performance of the foreigner up-to date solutions"

There are several parts still being imported from reliable partner companies, yet there is an ongoing domestic effort to develop critical parts independently.

I will tell you this and this is %100 true. After we showed up in 3 theaters no one is willing to sell us anything without signing an end-user agreement. And when we declare the end-user will be the Turkish Armed Forces even Japanese and Koreans are reluctant. You have no idea what American influence is and how many threads they can pull. We were buying advanced FPAs from the French Sofradir(because they don't care about Muricans) but they stopped delivering. One of the issues which Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Erdo will talk with Macron. Aselsan has FPA production capability and produces like 640*512 MWIR(MCT) FPAs, QWIP LWIR etc. and the product portfolio is getting bigger. Mikro Tasarım designs the ROIC circuits that are in use or will be used with Aselsan FPAs so if you look at Mikro Tasarım website you can get a good understanding of the current production capacity and future production goals. NAR project(started in october 2018 will take 6 years) aims to create a complete product portfolio in the MCT production method up to 1280x1024 pixels. On the other hand, the microbolometer project aims to do the same with microbolometers.

Name me hundreds of companies that produce MCT MWIR FPA because CATS uses that. Here start naming. It is you who don't know anything and thrash talk.

Aselsan didnt finish yet any cooled mct based FPAs .. they stated that vox based microbolometer uncooled fpa passed the tests and will enter the mass production ...it could be used with omtas and porsav ..but not with hisar and CATs
