HSTDV (Scramjet)

I plan to create dedicated threads for each (and other programs of note) soon for ease of the interested readers and also plan to give some of my underlying analysis when I can

As promised, a dedicated thread (on HSTDV and scramjet science+RnD) is now in Indian section for interested readers:

Smart project, UAE has something similar for drones and CAS aircraft.

Very cheap but it cant hit moving targets very well.

Yes, moving targets are out of the scope of the mortar. Wing and guidance kit are required for this. Mam-L-C -T fill this gap quite well.

UAE has light Quadcopter UAVs with a TV seeker with lockon which should be a cheap solution to hitting moving targets.

An interesting article for those who are not fully aware of particulars of ramjet technology in a2a missiles.
One thing they have omitted in the article, is the throttle controllable capacity of Meteor missile. This capability, actually allows meteor to fly at a lower speeds whilst travelling to it’s target, saving fuel and extending it’s range. Then at terminal phase increases it’s speed so as to almost make it impossible for the target to escape from it.

If the Akbaba couldn't engage to the S400, it wouldn't make any sense to its exist.
If S400 radar is on. I don’t see any reason why Akbaba would not target it. If it is as good as the latest HARM, then it would engage it, even after S400 has shut off it’s radar. At a speed of over Mach 2, thanks to it’s dual-thrust rocket engine that sustains the speed, the S400 protection system would have little chance.

Nah, his primary job is to outmatch Radar systems, of course, but S-400 is one of the best, maybe the best. And we have developed an anti radiation missile for the first time. Don’t expect to much.

We need some basic parameters about Aksungur.
