Exactly! The rocket engines of these missiles only work for few seconds to bring them to their top speeds. Then they travel with their kinetic energy. As they are moving without thrust they are being effected by gravity. So can be deemed to have a “ballistic” trajectory.
But a throttle controlled Ramjet, has thrust till the last second.

I been following some of this convo, but I do not know the underlying context etc...so I am probably overthinking lot of this, but just for sake of reaching more complete possibilities....

It did occur to me (if we do not know context of how "ballistic" is exactly applied to such ramjet system in first place) there are some possibilities/scopes on top of the one given by "The Insider" (as generic word for propulsive test etc).

A) Ramjet-stop and restart (later in course) at a lower but still high enough mach speed. The profile during this phase would essentially be a ballistic trajectory. i.e ramjet pulse system effectively.

B) Ramjet-stop and later start of different propulsive method of the larger system (say a final rocket phase etc). Similar to the above, just different systematic pulses involves. Again there would be a ballistic "coast" involved between the pulses.

C) A ballistic test (for sake of argument) could also mean a rocket launches the ramjet test-module initially from the ground (with a ballistic trajectory to obtain the necessary velocity for ramjet testing). This is essentially what India's recent SFDR tests involved (i.e a booster rocket rather than aerial platform....latter likely will be a later test for more mature system downstream).

Years ago there was a Greek news site/blog with 'defense' in its title. This page was almost flat out fascist and mostly really racist and hardcore anti-Turkish. However, I can't find on the internet anymore. Perhaps the name has changed? By any chance, do you know if this website is still active?

There are certainly more advanced variants in development. Will we hear anything about it? Who knows? There are no production numbers mentioned but we know that it was in production for a really long time. The project contract was signed in December 2009 and the project is finished in January 2021 while the first delivery was completed in 2014. 72 missiles, 3 command vehicles, 9 launcher vehicles(9*2=18 ready to fire missiles) and 9 reload vehicles were delivered per batch. The last batch was delivered in January 2021. Which put number of delivered missiles over 500 and number of launchers over 60.

Interesting, my estimation was much higher at 900-1000 missiles with 220-240 launchers and 4 missiles per launcher. I remember a report that 50+ systems were delivered by 2018. My estimation seems a bit unrealistic now.

It depends. There are no concrete numbers on this issue as it is deemed confidential. My calculations are based on 1 batch per year for 7 years. I know how many items in a batch but I don't know how many batches were delivered in total. It is either one( probably) or 2 (less likely)batches per year. If 2 batches were delivered per year then your guess might be pretty close to the actual numbers.

BTW 1 batch=3 companies=1 battalion.

Turkish HARM (High-Speed Anti Radiation Missile) named as Akbaba has been openly discussed by the military.
Unfortunately there are few mistakes in the specifications of the HARM missile mentioned in above article. AGM-88 HARM is a 2 Mach supersonic missile, but with a 150km range in standard form and a 220km range in it’s latest guise as AGM-88G. It utilises a dual-thrust motor (not dual-pulse as stated in above article).
Dual Pulse motor has two solid fuel sections. Engine uses first section. Then at a later stage uses the fuel in the second section.
Dual Thrust motor has two different densities of fuel in it’s tank. The fuel that is closer to the nozzle, burns quicker and the fuel further away, burns slower. So initial speed (boost) is high then second fuel just sustains this speed.
HARM has special seeker head that detects radars and targets it by itself.

I am a very big fan of improving efficiency and making smaller sized missiles and such with same or better specs and of course effects. So I really hope are experimenting and using these research papers to achieve better results.
