ASELFLIR-500 is integrated onto AKINCI and they casually hit three targets with it on their first flight together.

They really have no time to lose

Anyhow, We are expecting longer video about Aselflir 500 from ASELSAN

I like that they've used MAM-T, it has double the range and almost 5 times the weight of MAM-L, it'll be a pain the ass for targets. Can't wait to see UAV-230 and Çakır to be used like this as well.

Because it is a target drone, it's literally its job.

The IR image gives a top quality vibe. Aselsan has reached a level of quality and maturity with its EO products to be able to compete with SAFRAN, HENSOLDT, ELBIT in the field.

This something that we can see in demonstration. I hope when it comes to its newly developed AESA radars, the result is also similar. (Or at least close initially)

AKINCI's total flight hours is over 40K

MAM-T actually managed to hit a moving small target like that too, and I don't think it was going slowly. The bigger warhead's difference is felt here too.

Yeah from the waves behind the Albatros, we can deduce it is cruising fast. Aselflir-500 is better than MX-15D and by a lot not something like %5. There is no doubt anymore. It is very likely that this time next year Aselsan will start Aselflir-600 production.

Can you explain how? Like, a lot better?

Someone please explain to me why Akinci use Aselflir-500? As hale shouldn't it use Aselflir-600 or MX-20 or MX-25?
What is the EO/IR it currently use both Akinci and Aksungur in Turkish army inventory?
Shouldn't Aselflir-500 compete with MX-15D?

This test firing was shared as the golden age of aviation, but I think the real title is the beginning of a new era in the understanding of maritime patrol.

The combined machine-to-machine mission concept of UAVs and USVs seems to breathe new life into naval warfare. Instead of deploying all systems on a single MPA, clusters or wolfpacks of unmanned systems form a system of systems as a whole. Countermeasures against this distributed architecture are difficult, perhaps almost impossible. While the command and control platforms are far away from the engagement distance, all other systems carry out surface and undersea warfare, reconnaissance and intelligence missions as dozens of different platforms. @Anmdt

Are the sensors and cooling system used in these EO made by aselsan ?
