I think this part of that news is only the interpretation of the author, nothing official.
Turkey is waiting for the green light from Germany to receive fighter jets. Friedrich Merz is not giving it yet he still sends clear words toward Ankara.
This is the last known official information from Germany, if we assume that AA doesn't lie.
German government denies claims it blocked Eurofighter sale to Turkey

The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action has denied allegations that the government blocked the sale of Eurofighter jets to Turkey.

In a written response to a question from an Anadolu Agency (AA) correspondent, ministry spokesperson Tim-Niklas Wentzel stated that the current interim government has not made any decision regarding the approval of the sale of Eurofighter jets, and that significant decisions will be taken by the new government set to take office next month.

Wentzel said, "The (current) interim government will not make decisions in advance regarding comprehensive arms and equipment exports, which are to be taken by the upcoming government."

From now on i will trust a news only when it quotes an official with a name. Even german media went down the drain.

Seemingly, people don't understand that Israel and and their helpers issues will take a long time to solve. I don't see them being able to finish off Hamas, no? So , whatever it might go down in Syria, with the right preparation, they can be burned there.
It will take the time to complete Typhoon purchase and integration or Ozgur or all other offensive and defensive systems.
In the meantime, let's watch the way they work. Let them make a long rope for themselves.
Patience and work are the only things that matter.

“The wonderful patch for our new squadron, Uçbey”

Mr. Doğut informs that it will be new F16 squadron.
Its still unknown whether it will be formed with maybe future block70s and at what base.

The patch in close detail.
The motto is from Atatürk and it reads “A nation without past will not have a future”

The patch was designed on a very famous photo of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in a real janissary costume that was brought from military museum in Istanbul for a fancy dress ball in Sofia, Bulgaria during his tenure as military attache.

EDIT: Please see the following post by dear Sanchez with a detailed info about this new squadron.
Thank you @Sanchez 👍

It's not a new squadron per se. It was formed last year from aircraft and crews being sent over to Dalaman, some of them were 401 squadron aircraft, but probably not all.

As far as i can remember, TurAF currently have 8(7 if you discount 113) combat squadrons made up of F-16s.
Brings the new total to 10 squadrons, if we count 113. There were some talks about it for some time, but it's nice to finally put a face on it. Newest fighter squadron of the air force, 166 'Uçbey', based in 16th jet base in Dalaman finally have a patch.

HvKK lowered the number of squadrons since 2011 for multiple reasons. First was to get ready for F-35s, but major reason was the loss of personell after 2016 coup attempt. It's nice to see some return to normalcy.

To go over fighter squadrons, I count 111 Panthers operating F-4s, 113, 132, 151, 161, 181, 191, 193, 152 and now 166 operating F-16s. Orko's ekşisözlük entry where he actively follows HVKK organization with OSINT data since 2005 is probably the best source to follow changes.

Turkish air force should consider J10 with PL15AA missiles or JF17 Block 3 as stop Gap solutions. In current India Pakistan conflict the world have seen some magic things happend. Aselson should speed up HAVASOJ program as Turkish electronic warfare technology has proven itself and is in elite class. If Pakistan can shoot Rafale fighter jet with J10 and PL15AA MISSILES then it proves that with best techniques technologyical superior platform like Rafale can be defeated.

Rafale is not superior to J-10C.

Turkey opting for Chinese or Chinese tech aircraft is unlikely as we have our own commitments and issues that require a NATO hand at play. And CAATSA still exists.

Not gonna work. It is not going to be compatible. The reason PAF did well is because they have a system of systems in place notting together AWACS, jammers, Ground AD and figthers. This excellent level of integration allowed the formation of fighters in the sky to pull a very synchronized and complex BVR maneuvers that resulted in partial and temporary superiority against IAF. Not because of any single system. Although it also proved J10c and PL-15 to be a potent combo. But the main lesson is, a winning fight is an integrated fight.

AESA Seeker head give upper hand to PL15AA MISSILES against Rafale as it was difficult for the spectra electronic warfare suite to deceive it. Turkey should work on AESA Seeker head for AA missiles Gokhan. TURKEY should develop own AWACS system. The world have seen the largest dog fight among fighter jets in current India Pakistan conflict. Everyone in the world wants to study this dog fight among fighters jets from both countries.

This is the reason why i still think that it will be enough to have KIZILELMA and ANKA-3 on MUGEM, if we can manage to put an AWACS drone on MUGEM too. Although MUGEM will be accompanied by TF2000, its radar would be maybe not enough.
All turkish BVR missiles will have Datalink capability, so all you have to do is to bring your UCAVs in position to shoot and then turn them back to your AD coverage by TF2000. The fired missiles will be guided by Datalink after all.
