So far Iran is striking everything they can. They launched hundreds of heavy ballistic missiles at Israeli residential areas. They attack gulf countries.
Israel and US on the other hand did NOT started Iranian main assets: oil refineries, ports, electric facilities, bridges...
Israel and US can take out all these in 1 day and return Iran back to stone age.
Israel and the US can bomb Iran as much as they want, but I think the only way to remove the regime is boots on the ground, and I don't see that happening unless the US is willing to lose 1000+ soldiers in the short term. This would be nothing like Iraq, let alone Venezuela. Not only is the population much larger, but they're more motivated. Furthermore the terrain is horrendous for the attacking force.
Frankly I think Israel's real goal will be achieved, Iran will be severely handicapped. However this whole thing has been a massive embarrassment for the US. Trump and Hegseth have spoken really big and they went straight for the decapitation of the leadership, this was a severe miscalculation.
If Iran has tens of thousands of Shahed 136s and a large stock of ballistic missiles underground, this could last a lot longer than the US can stomach. Not to mention their shorter range missiles that can target the gulf. How much longer until the gulf states lash out at the US to end the war? Their whole image as a safe haven is now in tatters.
Iran might be knocked back to the stone age (as if they weren't already with the regime in charge), but it won't be the only loser. The Arab Gulf states went from safe havens to hellscapes. Meanwhile Israel is being hit more than ever before, we'll see how much damage is done after the media blackout is lifted. The US has lost billions of dollars worth of radars, it's literally bringing in air defences assets from east Asia, what if those also get hit?
Who's to say Russia and China aren't providing intelligence?
This might be a tactical victory for Israel, but it's a disaster for the US. It's Trumps "special operation" moment. He is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Just like Russia, the US is an inflexible empire. Its tech might be the best in the world but that's not enough to defeat a determined enemy.
