Yes, they are planning 5 prototypes between 2028 - 2035. 2035 is when serial production is planned based on those 5 prototypes, so as little unproven risk is carried to production...to start replacing (along with tejas mk 2 and any tejas mk1 A still being continued) large numbers of current...
