Of those retired, most are not in a flyable condition as far as we are aware; maybe like 15, not including the 4 jets in the Falklands, because they are not letting those go before 2027. They are still yet to order new aircraft. If this buy finally happens, there's also the training. I had...

Debatable, there have been cases of Baykar drones dropping without missile/gun damage over unfriendly territory; it's not a guarantee, probably 60 to 40. EW and counter EW is hard. There are no 30 RAF T1s. That number is like 18 at most, including the birds to be cannibalized.

Correction: Omani EFs still use mechanical CAPTOR-Ms. Still very good radars; but not AESA; but with a future idea to upgrade them to ECRS Mk0 I wonder how would the fleet composition be with both Captor-Ms and Mk0 Captor-Es. With more funding, T3As as well as RAF T3s can be upgraded to future...

Reuters mentions that Turkey is looking at both Qatari and Omani EFs. My brainfreeze, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar all operate 3As, with ECRS MK0 AESA radars. Tranche 3A is the most modern EF flying today, mostly thanks to its AESA radar. Bloomberg had mentioned 24+16 aircraft. Reuters mentions...

Per Bloomberg, Erdogan will directly mention the Qatari EFs during his visit. Fatih is right to point out all three countries mentioned(Qatar, Kuwait, Oman) are EF users. Kuwait also have 3As.

Sünnetçi wrote about a smaller aircraft to bridge the gap and replace some capability that will be lost with aging C-235s last year. C-27 would be a good pick for the air force on engine alone, but C-295 also uses the same engine Navy ATRs do; so there's that as well. Remembering this post...

As far as I can understand, all the economic woes of the TRNC got worsened since the pandemic ama the government instead of working on solutions, doubled down of what's TRNC is known for; gambling and corruption. Turkish MPs(inc Akar) going to island to campaign for Tatar, Turkish ambassador...

These target drones carry "hot nose" to simulate all kinds of heat signatures and can also be equipped luneburg lenses to increase RCS and with radar augmenters to simulate radar homing missiles.

I'm pretty sure that's a standart twin engine Banshee. Number of Şimşek used tests I've sen are still very far in between. We really must be one of QinetiQ's biggest customers.

Özbek claims "per official sources", Turkey will pay 740 million USD for the 12 aircraft. Only source I can find re that figure is the defencesecurityasia article from last year. And that site's credibility can only be called dubious...

Oh that's beautiful. Multiple engagements, finally 6 cells on a single vehicle. Looks like missile production is ramping up. And look around, it's all soldiers in the video, not engineers. It's the army's own baby now.

Indonesia Navy Indonesian Navy, Tentara Nasional Indonesia-Angkatan Laut (TNI-AL)

These are very old for their size, and are specimens of Chinese shipbuilding well before its prime; they are problematic ships. Bet China would love to dump them on the penny as it no longer fits their doctrine and as they're old, but doubt they would be a good source of newfound capabilities.

Tangentially related: Marshall's being hemorrhaging money year after year, currently at about 60 million euros a year. They are one of the leading conversion companies in the world and have knowhow on many, many types of aircraft. Like the Canik-AEI deal, it could be one other great use of...

At 5:50, he mentions Turkey receiving the rights to tinker with F-16s during Sweden&Finland NATO spat. Turkey originally received rights to F-16 B30&40 computers at the same time with CCIP. Now also received for CCIP, B50 and B50+ as well? I wasn't aware of this.
