Greece Greece participated in the French multinational drill Orion 2023

Toyotas are damn cool. Are the Ellis being modernized anytime soon or will they be just replaced by the FDI and the future corvette class? That Sea Sparrow launcher just looks sad man.

I'm not a hater, in the future, it can be a lovely platform. But she won't ever reach her absolute potential without STOVL fixed wing jets, that is a reality.

I grew up with people saying had the US pushed a single red button, all our F-16s would just shut down or even worse they would take off at the same time and target Anıtkabir in unison. Turns out, that was all just BS. US doesn't need a "red button". We have immense trade ties with them and the...

We quoted the entirety of that page the other day and openly talked about it here. It has no such notes that is "very disturbing and dangerous"

Ozzyland might be a tad different but being a mostly middle eastern country, Turkey has few issues with way lower than average female employment, higher than average femicides, child brides, honor killings and few other stuff. No need to project Western politics on us, we have enough problems of...

Question is not if Turkey's neighbors have air forces that can threaten Turkey. These are the countries that Anadolu may or may not operate near in the future. They can very well threaten Anadolu, and that is all that matters as losing that ship could mean losing 1500+ men on its full...

Russian Migs, Greek F-16s, Iranian F-14s, Syrian Su-22s, Egyptian Rafales and a few more. If we are opting for an overseas force projection capability, an actual fixed wing jet aboard our amphibs is a necessity. How do you protect Anadolu in the Ionian Sea against Rafales with Exocets? If Turkey...

CAS, CAP, Interceptor.. TB3 carries 300kilos, F-35B 7 tonnes. Correct question should be, is there a role F-35 can't fulfill imo. F-35B at its most basic form is an STOVL F-16 with much greater combat radius.

Quoting this from Feb. If SIPRI is right on this, a deal to directly supply 150 Hisar-O missiles was also penned.: (150) Hisar-O SAM 2022 For Hisar-O SAM systems (3) Hisar-O SAM system 2022 Delivery planned from 2023 Hisar-U SAM 2022...

US operates 300 F-35s, 180 F-22s, and hundreds of F-15s. Most of their operational F-16s are not at a worse level than ours. They are still dominating in the drones field as most of what they do is not exported. Stuff like MQ-25 and XQ-58 is only a portion of what they have available. China...

I wonder if that 530mil figure contains the full program cost with 3rd party components, like the radars, missiles and everything else between. If it does, No way we are winning this. It'd be a net loss fiscally.

MHP have had an effect on Erdogan and AKP. So did Soylu after he joined. Everytime AKP had to seek new allies, allies had a bigger effect on how AKP rules rather than vice versa. Don't get mistaken, if Erdogan wins, Hüda will have a say in how the country is run and will get concessions like...

TR Attack & Utility Helicopter Programs

Army Aviation, like rest of the army is orthodox. Doubt they are interested in a solution that does more than one thing. They want their attack platforms to be attack platforms and cargo ones to be cargo ones. For recce role, T129 is quite capable in itself. Maybe years down the line when T625...

TR Attack & Utility Helicopter Programs

Noone's talking about stopping the development of attack helicopters tho. T929 is already in the works and we have enough T129s to fill our every need at this point and are giving them to the police aviation of all units with more still being built. I do not believe T629 is a "completely...

It wouldn't, but not everyone can afford a fleet of purpose built attack helicopters. That's why the Mi-24 was an export success in Africa and why Korea is building LCH and LAH at the same time.

Interesting setup on the Fırtına NG/II. Turns out the Sarp RCWS is retractable to achieve lower silhouette. close up of it. Wonder how much the stabilization is effected.

With how absurd that whole thing was, it might have just been a smoke and mirrors type of deal to dumbfound Leonardo. Hope to read up more on it in the future.

Gökbey is T625. I believe T629 was an T129 sized attack heli with Ukrainian(?) powerpack not bound to the Leonardo license or LHTEC engines. It looks like they let that go for T929. We already have close to 70 T129 in three services, with at least 20+ more on the way in phase 2. And an...

Analysis Turkish Type Fast Attack Craft (TT-FAC, TTHB) Project in a nutshell

Indeed. There are things an USV simply cannot do. Remember Iranians just collecting US saildrones sailing in international waters, tinkering with them a little and letting them go or not. Try doing that to a 40+ men strong FAC tho and you got a war in your hands.

Analysis Turkish Type Fast Attack Craft (TT-FAC, TTHB) Project in a nutshell

In a tight space like the Aegean, fast moving manned ships with teeth will always be necessary. There will be things USVs cannot do for a very long time. What do you do when Greece basically apprehends an USV that it claims strayed into Greek territorial waters?
