Koc corporation has the capability to become one of the pillars of Turkish defence industry. Unfortunately so far they have chosen easy money over self-reliance and innovation. Hopefully this new engine represents a change in their mentality.
Armata is not overhyped, it's just that the Russians can't mass produce it alone. They are going to need at least a couple other high tech countries assistance to mass produce it. If they had it in large numbers today it would kick any other tank's ass that is currently available.

I didn't say it would be produced or assembled in Turkiye, I said that according to statements by SSB officials in the media the Korean powerpack was going to be modified by Turkish engineers to reach a more desirable performance.
There was word in turkish media about the Korean transmission being modified in Turkiye by Turkish engineers, so that's probably how it passed the durability tests. Also why so many purchased, isnt BMC planning to use their own powerpack after 2025.

BMC didn't delay the Tank. In fact they went beyond expectations and did it earlier than anyone thought. I mean people should really be more appreciative of the company, they did work their ass off to undo the mistakes of SSB.
Are there not any other Turkish companies producing armour steel. Turkey has an advanced metallurgic industry it shouldn't be that hard for other steel producers to acquire or develop armour steel.

As far as I understood the problems were mostly related to the RCWS which to be fair is a bit old and needs to be replaced. Protection wise is still the most protected ifv in the world. However there are other shortcomings such as bad interior design and very heavy combat weight.
