The bigger problem for me here is what happens with all this water. I am absolutely sure that 99% of all rain water over Istanbul goes to waste- to the sewers or to the sea. With the climate changing and water resources getting more and more important I think that everywhere around Turkey there should be investments into systems for collecting rain water. It’s a Technology that is more and more widely used in modern skyscrapers and architecture plus it’s not hard and expensive to be used by households too.

I have colleague who’s an engineer and he’s buried a big rain barrel in his yard, using the water for toilet and such things. the water is collected from the roof through drainpipes and such, then goes through sand filter before entering the tank.

he has solar panels to work the pump to get the water into the system. Now if only batteries became cheaper :)

Seems Somalian and Libyan troops had a fight in Isparta. Reason unknown according to article.

The other article (sportsnews ??) says it started when a Somali officer stabbed a Libyan officer and 3-400 ppl joined the fray., 25 dead/wounded.

If this is true it must be explained, and the two groups must be segregated from now on by Turkish authorities.

Yes, I mean it would be great if they can work together and create a strong bond, but if you have that many lower rank officers around chances of a tussle occuring is quite high.

One smart remark, one insult that's all it takes.

Well I am actually not sure but find the footage frustrating and funny. I think the poster tried to portray the situation like Iranian and Armenian leadership are shoulder to shoulder but the Azerbaijani Turks "refuse" to shake with the Armenian side.

In fact the footage according to one of the comments below the video is the Armenian Primeminister Pashinyan presenting his cabinet. I am not very informed and can't actually recognize Armenian politicians so it can be true. It's just funny footage for me and that's all :D

Rainwater needs more treatment than fresh water from lets say a river or something, its economically not viable to use it as drinking water as long as there is fresh water supply around but what needs to be done more is separating rain water and waste water from households so the water treatment plants dont get over capacity during storms.
