Serbia is trying slowly to move from Russia and integrate to the European Union. Their recent moves like the sabotage of the failed coup in Montenegro and their "secret" shipment of arms to Ukraine is pointing that way. The Russian sponsored protests in Belgrade against Vucic is also a pointer. Also we must include the recent positive developments on the Balkans like the deescalation with Kosovo, their recent trade deal and also very good relations with Turkey with which they have many joint projects. They are still not fully away from Russia but they seem to be enthusiastic. The problem with that kind of countries is you never know if this is their real behavior or you took a Trojan horse into the club.

A Saudi court on Sept. 7 jailed eight defendants to between seven and 20 years over the 2018 murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, state media reported, overturning five earlier death sentences.
hm... this verdict is such a farce that we can't even use it as an excuse to restart good relations. IMO.
If only the 2 inner circle members of MBS was sentenced our politicians could have worked it out somehow. If they have the will of course.
