After 24 years, Turkish basketball team managed to reach the semifinals of Eurobasket. This is a big success. Congrats to the team and the coach. Even if we lose the semifinals, we had a successful run and reached our target. Having said that, we will play against the winner of Lithuania vs Greece, so we have a shot at reaching the finals.

There was some butt clenching after we stopped playing and from +22 we only started leading with 9-12 points but this game was pretty calm and was pretty easily won. Sehmuz Hazer just ate Jordan Lloyd and the whole Polish offense just stalled.
Now let’s see which team comes as our opponent…

This is the mentality i hate.
So,we we should just give up now,its clear 4th place, yes?
No, I didn't say anything like that. That is your comment. Reaching the semifinals after 24 years is a big milestone for us and a big success. Our team is not a team that regularly plays quarters, semis, and finals. We will, of course, give everything to reach the finals, but even if we can't, this is still a success. We have a good shot of beating the Lithuania vs Greece winner. On the other hand, elimination in the quarterfinal would have been a clear failure for the women's volleyball team. Elimination in the semifinals would have been an ok/acceptable performance, and nothing short of playing finals is a success for the women's volleyball team.

For the national football team, qualifying for the World Cup in the group stage is a big overachievement if we consider that Spain is also in the same group and only the group leader qualifies directly. Qualifying via play-offs is a success, elimination in the group stage is a disgrace, and elimination in the play-offs is a failure.

Greece is a strong team and one of the favorites of the tournament. IMHO, Greece has one of the best "overall" rosters. It will be a very difficult match. Our second-highest scorer, Cedi Osman, is injured and might not play. Greece is the slight favorite in the upcoming match. Giannis Antetokounmpo is a monster we need to tame. If we can keep Antetokounmpo at a certain level and if our big three of Alperen Şengün, Cedi Osman, and Shane Larkin have a good match, we can win this.

What about Osmani?

Osmani is fine. Cedi has edema and pain in his leg. His situation will be clear on the matchday, but he won't show up for training tomorrow, and he won't be at 100%. I expect the coach to give him some minutes at critical times and use him sparingly. He wants to play at all costs; he is likely to get injections before the match to ease the pain.
