Turkiye is a regional power with military, economic and political strength in the region due to their position.

Even if Turkiye is an G20 economy its still a newly industralised country and a developing country. Compared to a lot of rich developed countries still not rich.

Yeah it is rich in its region compared to its neighbours but its still poor.

You have Bulgarians you know Bulgaria which is not really rich but still benefitting from the euro currency which allows them to treat Turkiye like their grocery store.

Its fcking embarassing how poor Turkiye is in their economy despite their strong Military and Political positions in the geopolitical arena.

The reason why Turkey's economy is poor is honestly quite simple, and that is primarily due to the fact that Turkey lacks Technology

Ignore the bullshit about interest rates and exchange rates as these are just one of the numerous mechanisms the big boys use to controll nations like Turkey

While obtaining own national energy will without a doubt alleviate Turkey's economic woes since nations that contribute near to nothing to their economy like KSA are living like kings while Turks are not, it isnt the only mechanism to achieve economic prosperity. Look at Japan and Korea as an example! Their exchange rates are way below Turkey's lira and their national resources are less while their population numbers are higher yet somehow they are way better off than the Turks and this is due to technology! They manufacture cars, cranes, bulldozers, ships, makeups, laptops, mobile phones etc..... in other words they produce products with soo much high-added value

When Erdogan announced the creation of Togg, I was happy because this was the TRUE solution to Turkey's problem! It is without a doubt a 1000000% step in the right direction only for him to get insulted by opposition and western media claiming that he is just wasting the people's money to build big fancy projects even though they themselves know that what Erdogan is doing is actually the right path

They are scared shitless that the Turks become a major power AGAIN, for god knows how many times already. That's why. But it will happen, no matter what they do.

What Turkey is suffering from rn is the consequence of 70 years of negligence on politicians part! Ever since Ataturk died, and all the politicians who came after him were either traitours who obeyed the Western command of not building, not investing, and not communicating; thus, creating a Turkey that was isolated and stagnant while all Western states where soaring with the new era and trend.

However, the last 10 years were different in which Turkey finally started to catch up with the West in many fields and even surpass them in certain fields like drones; however, that did come at a price and that is that the West got alarmed. The West hates the idea of a strong Turkey and will never ever sit tight and watch Turkey build a strong technological base and that is why they embargoed many products on theyir way to Turkey such as high tech instruments or jet parts, engines, chips etc....

Just for your knowledge since this is the elections thread, as a part of Erdogan's campaign for the upcoming elections, he planned to reveal the first prototype of the TEI TF-6000 only for a part to be embargoes and the reveal date was postponed 6 months..... all of this just to ensure that Erdogan never gets re-elected

For @Momentum You need to know that no matter how much of an ingenious people the Turks are or how much are they intelligent or how much they are patriots, as long as the UPPER POLITICAL ADMINISTRATION has no WILL whatsoever to continue such projects at the expense of embargoes and antagonising the West, will find their defence and technological base quickly crumbling

This is what history proved to us after all especially in the case of late empires like the Ottomans or the current Russia

This election will truly determine the path Turkey takes. On its 100 anniversary, the people shall decide on either a path of fake economic prosperity with stagnation or a painful economic and military growth for the short to medium term
