Yup different to AMCA. It is a proposed variant along lineage of MWF/ LCA mk II...but duel engine for navy carrier requirement:

This is basically a loyal wingman which operates side by side/across a manned platform such as fighter jet
"Loyal" is the keyword here you can literally control it from the manned platform,it could intelligently communicate with you and could be used for delivering standoff weapons etc.
"Network-centric warfare" is very important factor and it fulfills it well
About the TEDBF,yes it's different than AMCA

Unfortunately I have yet not gone too much into TEDBF,so can't say
Need to spare time in studying aerodynamic design cause this one is pretty new,more like hybrid.
It would be challenge for developers nonetheless
From what I know folded wings would be new for DRDO/ADA

The entire order is yet to be signed but HAL started producing 15 of em currently. One of each production variants have been handed over to IAF & IA respectively
