CATS (combat air teaming system) is the most important display here I think if it's successful Indian aviation will transformed in the next decade it has 3 parts

There are 3 parts
1 CATS ALFA S it will be a swarm drone system deployed from a pod
2 CATS hunter cruise missile with 2 different type of seeker
3 CATS warrior unmanned wingman

Hmmm so they aren't going for a radome? Disappointing... but maybe they are putting an extra radar in the nose for full 360 coverage.
Radome would introduce pointless complexity now in day and age of aesa it will be there fixed aesa radar like the ones on e 7 wedgetail

Nvm I see an extra hump patch for the 360...probably where they gonna put one extra radar array for total of 3...3x120 = 360...basically kind of separated wedgetail. Interesting

I am talking about the coverage, having just 2 (like netra) would give 240 ish degree coverage....and would be waste of larger size and endurance of a320.

The CATS program would have unmanned mothership with Alfa-S and loyal wingman being network centric with artificial intelligence they are autonomous and don't need any seat

Can the drone launch AAM ?

Unmanned Tejas I don't think so. do you have something on it?
Oopsie, can't say anything rn,let's wait for more updates, but i think making them completely unmanned would be better and you don't need to develop life support system and human interface

Nice, I think it is the first big model of AMCA. The design is already fixed.

I believe the fighter should be dual seat to better manage and control wingman drone. It could possibly have around 4 wingman drones for one 5 generation fighter
I agree twin seater aircraft would allow for the most optimal use of these unmanned systems. In fact iaf intends to develop a twin seater lift (lead in fighter trainer) variant of Tejas possibly upto 100. I think that would serve as the mothership for cats system after after jaguar starts going out.

The level data networking for an unmanned Tejas controlled from ground station and then in turn control multiple drones would be insane I don't think iaf would go for unmanned fighter before 2035

Well yeah you're right, and it says Manned-Unmanned team which gives rise to certainty that mothership would be manned.

Hope now these move from mockup to actual prototypes and then enter production without delays
