Aslo If USA will attack with Earthquake than will attack Istanbul with 16 million people , Capital of Econony and heart of Turkiye not Gaziantep ,Osmaniye , Adana , Diyarbakir when less people live .

Man-made or not, an earthquake next to the Syrian border would destabilize things in general enough to give PKK/YPG an opening to mount a counteroffensive.
Rebel strongholds like idlib and Aleppo are hit quite badly, just like Gaziantep or Hatay.

This is just shocking. So much destruction. The freezing weather makes it even worse for those who are trapped. I feel for those with family in the affected regions.



Seeing as a certain group of users keep ganging up on Tonyukuk due to finding him offensive, let me interject and say that you cannot simply ignore the fact that tens of thousands have either lost someone they know or are frantically searching for them right now because of something which was preventable. Calling the "low" death toll a miracle while people were living in unsuitable housing for a earthquake-prone zone is a bit silly. Remember that earthquakes seldom cause death or injury on their own, it's the buildings that kill. Türkiye needs to not only follow the lead of nations like Japan, but also innovate in this field. Otherwise tragedy may strike again. Logic must prevail. We cannot be emotional for the next week then forget about it. We must begin to implement a solution as soon as the rubble is cleared. This is beyond politics.

Dont understand that logic either, every time they say dont get political but im sorry the building standarts and crisis management is issue of politics and those have never been fixed in Turkey so why the self censorship?
Everybody should be screaming and doing protest asking where their mandatory earth quake insurance money went.

Just look and analyze what happened in one week:

- Washington Times reporting that Turkey is financing the Russian warmachine with exports and imports
- US is pressuring Turkey to accept Sweden and Finland to NATO
- US saying that Turkish-Syrian peacedeal is bad for the region

Much much worse,
in 99 the city was accessible by all means, concentrated, adjacent to istanbul-izmit-bursa, no issue with supplies (there were issues but compared to 2023, it was existent), the weather was good.
23, the cities are not accessible, not accessible by sea, event distributed over 10 cities where damage is immeasurable in all, not close to large cities thus where supplies and people are transferred from, winter, snowing, the coldest week of the year.

Hearing some estimated numbers for building and casualties from people in high positions and it is much worse than what it is told on TVs.
