I guess I didn’t make it clear when writing in a hurry! Appologies! I will correct it.
It is not a newer version of stinger. It is very different. For one thing the engine is totally new. It is dual thrust. If memory serves, stinger rotates. Sungur doesn’t.
Sungur is replacing stinger missiles in our inventory. It has a better motor. Better seeker. More range. More accurate.
Starting base was stinger. And that needed to be replaced with something better. Hence came Sungur. A more accomplished missile for low altitude air defence.

Okay, so you're saying it's a step up from legacy VSHORAD, not that Sungur is based on Stinger.

Exactly. To replace Stinger, Roketsan has come up with a very different and high tech missile. Beauty of this missile is that it has potential for growth. Propulsion tech used is ideal for flying in dense atmospheric layers.
By using the quick burn fuel, it brings the missile to top speed then by using slow burn fuel it sustains that speed through dense layers of air.

Isn't Levent Block 1 the proof for potential for growth. I hope we also experiment with an mobile land-based variant. Levent launcher point defence missile for military bases. Since both Levent missiles are already uses canister, we can also technically mount it on vehicles. Truck, ACV-30.

How many will turkey need to cover all of its airspace? Hisar O+ has a range of35/40 km right?

By itself as an system? No. Would likely be first deployed to critical bases and near Syria operations areas as with immediate need. Then supplemented with continued development of systems for building layered air defense. Official range for Hisar-O is 25km, 15km altitude. Shortly after Hisar O start entering service, Hisar RF should follow with likely 40km range, 20km altitude. Siper first prototype(s) are being built but Siper maturing to enter service would likely take some time. In the meanwhile, there will be additional systems developed. Hisar RF with booster, Tozkoparan missile and maybe different systems. Additionally EIRS radar said to enter service in 2022 but might be delayed to 2023. AIR radar, similar to ELTA ELM-2084 should enter service 2022.

Also this is the first batch completed till 2024. There will be new orders. Furthermore with the help of distributed structure you can cover up to 75 km range with just one system.

14 batteries x3 launchers=42 launchers. 42 launchers x6 missile 252 missile. I expect the final figure to reach somewhere between 25-30 batteries in the future. The requirement was 90 launchers/30 batteries. I expect the delivery of the first 14 batteries to be completed in 3 years.

While the sungur missile is spoken, we have seen it on an integrated launcher on a BMC vehicle

The question may have already been asked, would it not handy to integrate the Sungur on the Korkut system?
