While the sungur missile is spoken, we have seen it on an integrated launcher on a BMC vehicle

The question may have already been asked, would it not handy to integrate the Sungur on the Korkut system?

Indeed having a vehicle just for 4 Sungur not economical. they should be combined.

But having 4 SUNGUR is totally economic for naval vessels.
İ can't help dreaming the pod is combined with radar so you will have cheap RAM. SUNGUR with its new-gen seeker, range and warhead weight much more than STINGER. İ believe it can engage a cruise missile with descent radar.

Also it's very compact for little patrol boats.

But the kirpi mounted configuration is simple and more economic .. it could be added to korkut but korkut is composed of 3 vehicles ... So i many missions the one vehicle system would be preferred

Prof.Demir - The conditions set by the USA for the Patriot Air Defence System were unacceptable. They drew some red lines and did not take a step back.

That is, you cannot test the system in peacetime. There were also conditions far beyond that.

In a second stage, an offer was requested again. It was given too late and again on very advanced terms. This needs to be well understood by the public, yes, there was a Patriot offer, but it was not acceptable.

SSB İsmail Demir: Three years ago, we did not have a domestic air system. We currently have 4 systems, there will be 5. It will be 6 when the Siper comes.

As I said people DOS NOT UNDERSTAND that usa is already doing everthing using every sitatuion to HARM TURKIYE.
I am happy that Turkiye DID NOT got this "Shity toys" ( Troy horses -> F-35, Patrion, etc.) which DOES NOT give a Turkiye ANY POSTIVE advantage.

But we have people here Turks which keep Living in some kind of Dream state that above systems will add more to TSK.
Dreaming (how good will be if Turkiye have psudo allies toys) and Reality is a difference between a KID and matured MEN which know what is the history of dealing with psudo ally usa.

Relax mate. No one here believes that US is an ally. It’s convenient relation. F35 is a nice piece of tech, but if you’re not allies then it’s a liability.

we should play nice, but always keep our own interest close to heart, problem is our government has messed up the economy and aren’t interested in fixing it because RTE is no longer of sound mind.

Our trust lies with defense sector and TSK. My only worry is that the government can sell whatever secrets they want and pick whatever company they want for their corruption.

we can only hope the real patriots stick in keep their head low and serve and keep serving after government changes.

Mr Demir has made some important points regarding our air defence program.
In his speech he has pointed out that an effective air defence system is a layered system. Hence al layers will have to become operational in stages. “Three years ago when we had no air defence structure, we first activated our Korkut for very short range. Then, last year, we made Sungur operational. This is a system that can be used as portable or fired from vehicles/platforms with an effective altitude of 4km and range of 8km. Then by increasing effective altitude and range we introduced Hisar-A+ System. Recently we exercised an autonomous firing test of this missile system. This was done with no human element in the chain. The system recognised the threat, and eliminated it by itself. This is a noteworthy capability in itself. Following this we have developed the Hisar O+. This system will have an effective altitude of 10 km and around 25km of range. Afterwards, before the high altitude air defence system “Siper”, we are expecting an intermediate transitional product with an effective altitude and range of 20km and 100km respectively , to be operational. Then finally Siper will show itself. In other words, this is a journey whereby we are climbing the steps one at a time. We add each parameter of preceding system on to the next one and applying what we have learnt in previous systems. We are expecting to make Siper operational before the end of 2023.”

Layerer air defence as a structure seems
Solid! Good choice. How does the americans structure their air defence system?
