I am not an expert, I guess this would depend on the type of vessel. For example Sachsen class frigate has 2 ram system one in rear one in front and total 42 missiles.
Maybe it's better to have one Gokdeniz-ER and 1 Gokdeniz.

Those 2x2 AESA plates should be stationary apart from launcher. This economical solution would allow use larger plates.
from a diffrent perspective

phalanx can work autonomously (GOKDENİZ )

RAM requires initial target data (LEVENT = RAM BLOCK 1 & 2)

SeaRam '' has 11 missiles'' can work autonomly since it uses phalanx radars and EO ( GÖKDENİZ ER = very enhanced SeaRAm )

like ESSM - SM 2 6 USA uses AN/SWY-2 for RAM, we use SMART S for ESSM and RAM

For Barboros and Gabya I may use GÖKDENİZ ER

with CENK S and ÇAFRAD I will feel safe to use LEVENT

Purpose of having 4x AESA radar( or independent search / tracking radar) on a CIWS or PDMS is to make it fully autonomous so that it will continue to function once integrity of the ship is lost.

If you install 2 x 2 stationary AESA radars, then there would be a need for dedicated tracking / search radar (like the one on Korean CIWS) on the CIWS / PDMS.

In my opinion Aselsan's configuration stays in a good place its range (to be disclosed) and IRST capability and affordable so it can be doubled.

Optionally those 4x radars maybe installed on a seperate mast with a direct link to CIWS's own controller. But distributing these radars around the hull would require either a seperate controller to merge the images or to make it go through the CMS, again remember these systems are made to me autonomous and function even if operations room or the bridge is lost.

Installing 2x means those are made to function once another half of a ship is totally lost (see for example radar installation in newer destroyer designs). Once another half of the ship is lost then the PDMS will be blinded at a sector. In fact, PDMS can fire at blind section by avoiding the no-entry zone (indirect shoot).

I can further tell this; TN wants a fully autonomous PDMS (similar to Goker) on a platform to be equipped with rotaring type AESA , 2x Traking radar and 3x IRST. They are not worried about increasing the cost by having 4 extra small AESA on the PDMS, for sake of increasing survival rate.

Damn. Maybe turkey interested in sub-launched hypersonic missile. Nobody has them yet so it would be a great deterrence.

Land targets; Sub-Kara / Atmaca / Gezgin.
Aerial targets; Hisar-Derin, unsure if it has any input from IDAS partnership but i very doubt it at the missile-end.

🇹🇷 Roketsan General Manager Murat İkinci:

We started the mass production of our SUNGUR air defense missile, which has far superior features than STINGER.

This missile is particularly suitable for moving troops, critical facilities; First of all, it will be able to protect against drone and helicopter attacks.

The most important goal is to complete the SİPER Block 1 tests by the end of this year and to put this 100 km range version into use by the Turkish Armed Forces.

A small amount of truck-mounted Hisar-A+ will probably be produced to be used alongside the modernized AAA cannons.

TEI Manager Mr Aksit once said that the second engine takes half the time to develop as the first one. I hope it holds true for Roketsan too and they turn new capabilities into products without major delay.

The great joy of the work done stitch by stitch!

We share the joy of our young engineers who successfully completed another test of our #SİPER air defense system. Good luck to you and your work. We will build our future with you.

Cekemeyenlerin gozlerine batsin :)
Most probably conservative religious people are disturbed from joy of brilliant Turkish engineers who hugging each other however they have to keep inside their jealous...

We appreciate our engineers.

Regarding SUNGUR, I'd like to add my 50 cent: since Ukranians shot down several cruise missiles from STINGERs, SUNGUR will be great for SHORAD with adequate AESA plates.
