Hisar-RF has a lower coefficient of drag because of the RF seeker head. IIR seeker has a spherical head while RF seeker is conical.

Please watch videos of Hisar-O IIR you will see a conical cap on the tip.

Hisar-A possibly doesn't have because of the shorter flight duration.

IIR seekers are sensitive to the heat their performance is adversely affected from high temperatures, because Hisar-O travels for long, it has a cap/hat on the tip to prevent IIR seeker from heating due to the friction at high speeds.

The cap is released in the terminal stage.

We are strengthening our layered air defense system. As part of our 35 mm Air Defense System Modernization and Particle Ammunition Project We continue the deliveries of the Fire Management Device and Modernized Towed Gun systems, which we produced under the main contractor, to the Turkish Armed Forces.

Honest question: does a system like that still play a role in modern warfare? Reminds me of WW2 movies.

İn WW 2 autocannons couldnt fire proggrammable ammunition connected with two radars.

I think 35mm CIWS ultimate solution against cruise missiles

Rheinmetall approached Denel and calculated that it would actually be cheaper to fire a Cheetah missile than a AHEAD burst for CRAM targets so actually commissioned them to make the missile.

Denel is incapable of making the missile so the some people on the design team quit and work in the UAE, their goal is 20 simultaneous engagments per MLU with a maximum of 4 MLUs coupled with German 35mm cannons the whole system is called Skynex.

That is the ultimate defense against cruise missiles if they can do it as they say they can.

Sungur included into list of 4th generation man portable air defence missiles. Some analysts claim Sungur is 5th generation MANPAD.

Personnel training has started for HİSAR air defense systems, which are going to be used by the Turkish Armed Forces.

According to the information received by the AA correspondent, for Hisar, Turkey's first national air defense missile system, developed under the leadership of the Presidency of Defense Industries, trainings of operator trainers were carried out with simulators and training missiles without the use of real missiles, aircraft and helicopters.

Hisar operators working in the Land Forces Command participated in the operator trainings of the Hisar systems, which will undertake important tasks in Turkey's layered air defense.

Hisar systems, which include a large number of subsystems, have been implemented with more than 100 local solution partners with 80 percent domestic contribution rate in order to meet the needs of the army and to strengthen the low and medium altitude air defense of Turkey.
