"Possible Start Date for the Construction of MUGEM is 2029"

"The National Aircraft Carrier Project (MUGEM) started this year with the Preliminary and Contract Design Directive given by the Turkish Naval Forces Command to the Design Project Office Directorate within the Naval Technical Command. The design and construction processes of the MUGEM Project are expected to take five years each, with the design to be completed in 2028, construction to start in 2029 and commissioning in 2034.

Preliminary and Contract Design is underway and all design processes, including detail design, will be completed within the next four years. In this process, it is possible that various differences may occur compared to the first design presented.

"It seems likely that the construction of the MUGEM will be carried out on the 202-meter-long, 38-meter-wide and 5-degree inclined slipway at the TGM Istanbul Shipyard Command, and that the construction of the MUGEM will begin after the launching of the TF-2000, which will start its construction on the same slipway in 2025."

@Anmdt what do you think?
Article contains incorrect information, but nearly accurate for Aircraft Carrier's milestones. This is roughly what we may assume by rationale. And i honestly don't think we will be capable of finalizing detail design (or construction level design) by 2029. Best fit is completion of preliminary and contract design phases by 2029, commencing the construction after clearance of the Dry Dock (launching of TF-2000).

First of all, TF-2000 and Aircraft Carrier can't be built simultaneously. And TF-2000 will be in service 2032 (partially), and fully by 2035. Assume AC in service by 2040. Reasonable date considering finances and other technologies to develop, and also by 2040 all 4 TF-2000 will be in service.

Yet again, i wouldn't hesitate to call a construction in 2029 as ceremonial, we have a lot to mature through the AC design process. That is quite alien stuff to us and nowhere in the same class as LHD.

If so, the TF-2000's steel cut may be held together with TCG Trakya, however i heard little to none about the redesign process and i would be disappointed if it is all Spaniards doing the design work and not sharing any know-how or ToT. I expected some design offices within TR would take part in the redesign process and at least, acquire & own IP rights of the new design.

Which aircraft will be used on the aircraft carrier? If it is for the Hürjet, it would be unnecessary. Unmanned aircrafts are still weak.

Will there be a naval version of Kaan? I think it is definitely not worth building an aircraft carrier for any aircraft other than the Kaan.

it must be Kaan naval version or a same level thing.

If not,we should only build Anadolu class.

We shouldnt buy FA18 or Rafale or even MIG29K

We will get F-35's at the end. Just like we got F-4's despite Cyprus. So it will be F-35's and Kızılelma's imo. AI's second leap in this decade is expected to happen in 2 years. AI will be able to command and control a war itself earlier than we expect. It's a matter of decides of decision makers then. (Seeing a naval Kaan would be nice tho)
