"Algeria broke off diplomatic relations with Morocco, accusing the country of several offences, some plausible and some hysterical. What happens next? "

This is one of the fruits of the so called Abrahamic Accords. Israel infiltrating Morocco being the main reason for the feud between Morocco and its neighbor Algeria. Borders, Airspace and diplomatic ties have already been closed. Close to one million Moroccan illegal migrants will be deported from Algerian within this year. Analysts predict a real war between the two countries triggering soon.

Right after Algeria's independence from France, Morocco's army invaded illegally the western region of Algeria and claimed it as its own.

This year again, by pure arrogance, the Moroccan regime suggested to the UN that Algeria must be partitioned into two countries.

In response to Morocco's provocative acts. Algeria closed its Borders, and its Airspace and cut its diplomatic ties with Morocco while waiting for what will come next from the enemy neighbor. Close to one million Moroccan illegal migrants will most probably be deported from Algerian within this year.

After raising the tone against Morocco on Tuesday, Algerian Army chief of staff Said Chengriha stated today that Algeria must keep its "permanent strategic superiority" in the region, with a "strong" and "feared" army.

Analysts predict a real war between the two countries triggering early next year.

Algeria & Morocco: the world's most self-destructive rivalry

Most misleading title. Morocco is a vassal regime that had been subservient to various external powers throughout its existence (e.g., Spain, France, Israel, USA, even the GCC), while Algeria is a Non-Aligned government system that deals with other nations on an Equal-to-Equal basis.

Rivalry is not the right word since Morocco is smaller both economically and militarily than its bigger neighbor Algeria.

Yet since normalizing with Israel in December 2020, Morocco had started it provocations and confrontations toward its larger neighbor Algeria. An example is when Morocco called the UN for the partition of Algeria into two separate countries. A second example was when Morocco used the Israel Pegasus software to spy on 6,000 Algerian officials and militaries.

Algeria will refrain from going to war against Morocco, but it will minimize all economic and energy subsidies to Morocco. For decades Morocco benefited greatly from the Algeria gas pipeline crossing Morocco toward Europe, as well as from other Algerian natural resources. now that's all going to become history.
