They are assebling korean engine or mass producing Turkish BATU engine !
İf they ara producing in mass BATU now than why 85 Altays are with Korean engines until 2028 ?!

I counted just 20 pieces of V12 , it is okay to start somehow.

Ther are v8 and V12 engines, maybe they are waiting for the certification or approve off the army. Currently they are testing the engine, when it is finished theya re going to use BMC engine. We are not putting Korean engine together, for what?

I counted 26 in the same picture, they are just cast engine blocks. Probably a component that is safe to make early in the process.

This is totally unbelievable! They had all this time and having lived through live combat scenarios whereby a leo2a was blown apart due to munition explosion in Syria , they still have not taken the time to segregate the munition from personnel.
Even now old school tanks like Challenger2, Merkava, Leclerc2 and Abrams have isolated munition racks. This is a total disregard of the value of life of personnel.
Never mind Altay, even the old leo2s we have should have undergone this isolation process.

Isolated hull racks are part of T2, been the same for nearly a decade now. Per last reports, first 85 tanks will be T1s.

They probably only grasped the seriousness of the situation during the Ukraine-Russia war, as the lessons from Syria went unheeded. Redesigning the tank would have caused delays, so they decided to postpone the changes instead.

It's the same plan since 2018. Is it shit, very much so. Does it really matter when none of our tanks have protected hull racks? Not really.

It means BMC is blatantly lying. We have photo evidence. They are not isolated ammunition racks. The first 40 tanks will probably be delivered without those capabilities in line with existing plans.

What they are saying is partially true because the ammo racks in the turret are isolated also that picture is more than 5 years old

Ammo racks on the turret being isolated is a 60 year old design, that's not the point of the discussion. Photo was shared today by Güngör's twitter account during his visit to the factory.

Can you please enlighten us why/how that one picture proofs your point? How did you determine from that picture that it won't be in the final product? Which mechanical parts are missing from doing it?

All of it. There's nothing to argue here. We knew for 6 years that T1 would come with open hull stowage. An isolated stowage would be isolated, it's not an add-on.

So are you saying that isolated rack is a whole module which has to be assembled outside of the tank and then put inside the hull as a whole module?

Yes. This is how it looks on M1, though M1 carries most of its load on the turret:

BMC didn't add a single bolt to 'new' Altay, it was subcontractors updating the design of their system to compensate for what has been obsolote. All they did was to integrate powerpack, which also mainly carried out by the manufacturer itself. Mechanically, it is the same Altay.

They have promises for T2, which i highly doubt if they will succeed in any. I won't be surprised if remaining 200 will be ordered in T1 configuration + what other subcontractors may offer.
