TR Altay Main Battle Tank & Related Programs

[Holikarbon]

Are there any developments in transmission production?

[Holikarbon]

It is underway

I understood this to be for the integration of a Korean gearbox? Am I wrong?

[Pokemonte13]

This only means they have finished the stress tests of the engine right in laboratory and are working now on the transmission tests?
Only after these tests will we see the engine+transmission tested on altay.

[Zafer]

Counting down to transmission qualification tests meaning qualification tests of the transmission will start soon. Once these tests are passed with acceptable performance they will probably test the engine and the transmission together before they use them in production

[Pokemonte13]

I thought some of the base armour for T1 would come from southkorea and T2 would get full roketsan solution?

Do we know how many Altay tanks have been delivered so far?

Do we know how many Altay tanks have been delivered so far?

0, otherwise they would've definitely mentioned it, hell they would've probably held a ceremony.

[Pokemonte13]

two were delivered.
The serial version had little grids on the side of the turrets

I thought we were talking about since then? If not, why are we talking about the ones they delivered 6 months ago?

Afaik 11 are planned for this year.

The Altay Tank's serial production process is continuing. The tanks committed to be delivered within this year will be delivered collectively.

Apart from AKKOR, what protection systems are being integrated for use against modern threats (drones)?

[boredaf]

So, what happened to the 11 Altay's that were supposed to be delivered in 2026? We are in the last quarter and there have been literally 0 noise about it in months.
