What does he mean by "The export license applications for the Altay Tank power group supply failed"?
German Government didn't grant Export License for EuroPowerPack to MTU Friedrichshafen in order to ship them to Turkey.

Were they going to build new Altay producto. Facility or did they skip that and decided to use the funds on existing production facilities ?

Arifiye is still spitting out F2

This was the Planned Factory in Karasu in order to be used for Tank Production.

Hasn't changed in Months.

Why should they ? The Arifiye Plant is bigger and more Extensive than what was planned
> Arifiye has Experts, Infrastructure and Testing Grounds.
> Arifiye is Twice the Size of the entire BMC Karasu Plant.

They built or added one Building in the Plant.
I Think its an Engineering Office.

Wise choice, or we’re lucky. At the end of the day the existing plants may still save the day. huzzah for that.

In first quarter of 2022 the Firtina T-155 self propelled artillery systems will be tried with hybrid drivetrain. After the successful testing of M113-ZMA hybrid engine which led to their first 50 serial modernisation/production , the T-155 will be the second armoured vehicle with hybrid drivetrain.

ps. The range given as 50km for the diesel version is an error. It should be 480km.

May be giving the Altay production to MKEK as a hybrid engined variant is a good idea.

Can we mount Boran-105 on any vehicle?
Like sh5, yugo m09, and korean 105 mm truck (sorry I don't know it's name). With high mobility, they can be very useful for us.

Does Boran even exist. It was supposed to be delivered months ago and still no news. How long now has it been since the project has started? 12-13 years?

Pathetic.

What is CEP of Boran-105
Not really specified! There is a lot of technical info at below site though.
It is effective up to 17km range. For a 105mm artillery it is quite good.
Due to it’s advanced Aselsan built FCS, and INS and GPS assisted targeting it is very accurate.
Because it can be carried by a Sikorsky S-70 it is also very mobile.
Regrading deliveries; first pilot 7 units were to be delivered in June 2021. And thereon the serial production was to start.

I read months ago that it completed all tests and is ready for mass production .. i think no purchase orders were made yet

MoD Hulusi Akar adressed the Parlament.

He announced that in 2021 a initial batch of T-155 Firtina II SPH have been built.

The Article with additional Info.

"Record production at the Tank Pallet Factory! 6 Storm howitzers were produced at the factory this year."

> Why do they announce 6 Firtina II like its a record ?

If we look at the previous statements by a MoD Rep. the production of 6 SPHs were expected.

Article from 04/2021

Muhsin Dere, Deputy Minister of National Defense, shared the latest situation in the Firtina II project.

"The production of 3 New Generation Storm Howitzers was completed in December 2020, and it is anticipated that 3 more will be completed by June 2021."

"We plan to include 155 Self-Propelled Storm Howitzer into the inventory between 2022 and 2027"

I think its very important to read carefully because these now 6 were BUILT and not put into Service!
I assume the Low rate initial Production of 6 SPH were done with MTU 881 Ka-500 water-cooled diesel developing 1,000 hp coupled to an Allison X-1100-5A3
like the Previous ones in order to decrease pressure by the public.

But the real Serial Production with actual Transfer of Howitzer to the Land Forces will be done in mid 2022 until 2027 with a diffrent Engine and updated Allison X-1100-5A4

The new Engine was announced in 19.03.2020 by Yusuf Akbaba

"The engine that will power FIRTINA will be supplied from a western country excluding Germany and Ukraine."

in 18.08.2021

at IDEF21 it was announced to be L3Harris with AVDS1790.

> The Timeframes and Context seem logical.
So the Decision of Integrating the 1790 Engine was done before BMC POWER UTKU Engine was Ignited for the first time.

Note: The AVDS 1790-9A has gross Power Output of 1200HP but a Net Power Output of 1000HP like the MTU or UTKU

"The production of 3 New Generation Storm Howitzers was completed in December 2020, and it is anticipated that 3 more will be completed by June 2021."
"I think its very important to read carefully because these now 6 were BUILT and not put into Service!"

New Info:

These 6 Firtina II have still not been inducted into Service as of 16.03.2022 according to Y.A.

Additionally:

- in the Year 2022 BMC Sakarya Plant will built 5 Firtina II SPH

- In 2023, Electric Firtina-IIs will be ready for delivery.
> Afterwards, the existing Storm Howitzers will be transformed. As of 2023, we will not be subject to any country's restrictions on the export of Fırtına Howitzer.
> Since the domestic engine is expected, it is produced slowly. It will accelerate after 2023.

This is all very confusing.
I Guess the Low rate production with MTU Engines are ongoing and those 11 Firtina II at the end of 2022 will be MTU.
BMC Power 1000HP might be ready in 2023 but would ne to be certified first.
What happened to the AVDS-1790, perhaps BMC Power is stilll trying to integrate that into the Firtina II and in 2022 we shouldn't expect that to happen.
