This mock-up is of the old design which was supposed to be outfitted with two General Electric T700-701D at the time. Once TAI made the switch to ukrainian engines with more power ~3000shp the design changed.

Don't know why they continued to show this mock-up off even though it has nothing to do with the current design anymore, sadly.

Ill delete the picture of the mockup then. They're clearly not the same aircraft anymore.

These again prove how much the angle that photograph was taken can change the way things look. Look at yesterdays video and this photo, lots of differences, seems like the first photo and these are taken with a camera that uses a fisheye lens

Cabatli in earlier photos (Prototypes) Gun was stationed underneath the gunner seat. But now they positioned it slightly forward aprx. 0.5 metres. If they pull the gun mantlet back where it use to be it will be better i think.

On ATAK-2:

They worked on a 24-hour, 3-shift basis.

I can say without eating, drinking or sleeping here day and night.

Sometimes they even made a serious effort by skipping their meals.

While looking at the FLIR and the gun configuration please also consider that the helicopter rotor creates a downwash of air which pushes the smoke coming from the gun nozzle downwards and away from the FLIR.

I agree, from the front it looks like a futuristic Hind. I think the nose plate will be changed for final version. It seems like a placeholder and doesn't match the rest of the body.
