Turkish troops to take part in Karabakh victory parade in Azerbaijan

View attachment 8142

Turkish Soldiers will take part in the large-scale military parade celebrating Azerbaijan’s victory in the Nagorno-Karabakh war victory in the Azerbaijani capital Baku on Thursday.

According to a spokesman for the Azerbaijan Defense Ministry, at the invitation of President Heydar Aliyev, the Turkish Soldiers arrived in Baku to take part in a military parade to celebrate its victory in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Over 3,000 soldiers will participate in the parade in the capital Baku on Dec. 10, the ministry said in a statement.

“Up to 150 military vehicles, including new military equipment, missile and artillery pieces, air defense systems recently adopted into the armament, as well as military ships and boats will be demonstrated at the parade,” the ministry said.

Some war trophies seized from the Armenian army will also be displayed at the event, it added.

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is also expected to attend the ceremony.

Nagorno-Karabakh, also known as Upper Karabakh, and seven adjacent districts, is the territory internationally recognized as part of Azerbaijan but was under the illegal occupation of the Armenian forces since the early 1990s.

Forty-four days of clashes ended with a Russia-brokered truce, and Azerbaijan managed to liberate five city-centers, four towns and 286 villages amid the heavy fighting. Yerevan was forced to evacuate the cities of Aghdam, Lachin and Kalbajar as part of the cease-fire.

Are they wearing the new uniform?

Azerbaijani soldiers were goose steepping in a rehearsal. It looked so badass.

Now get ready for the propaganda of Azerbaijanis being nazis when the goose step march was invented centuries before the Nazis came to power.

No I don't think so. It is hard to tell from the video but I found pictures. It is just the new cut design uniform which is being delivered for some time now but most probably because of the textile used it looks more blending in the eyes.
Do I dare hope that those soldiers will remain in Azerbaycan :) we've been invited after all. @Kartal1 what do you think ?
I think a Turkish contingent will stay at least for one year during the Turkish peacekeeping observation mission and we will see after that maybe Turkey with the approval of Azerbaijan could deploy independently from the joint Russian-Turkish joint center. Maybe a contingent could be established specially for joint training and interoperability studies with "secondary roles". Time will show.

It is not French deliveries holding back Russians but their own rhetoric that Crimea supposedly belonged to Russia and Russia had right to get it back from the Ukraine.

If Russia had that right than Azerbaijan had even more right to get back her occupied territories.

Anyway the timing of getting it back was perfect and Azerbaijan seized the opportunity

Law enforcement reinstated in Agdam and it's surrounding villages. While all infrastructure projects are picking up speed.

This is beautiful fast implementation of these projects and making it inhabitable for people is very important for future success. Police state like conditions may be necessary for quite a few years though for safety and security.

Just out of curiosity, I think that Russia took control of some of the abandoned vehicles, are they also counted as losses by Armenia ?
Those vehicles left behind by the Armenians but of which we're not sure if they're located in territory controlled by Azerbaijan are referred to as 'abandoned' rather than 'captured'. The same goes for abandoned Azerbaijani military vehicles, most of which were located in what is now Azeri-held territory and can thus be recovered for future use.

Yes but that is not something that could stop Russia from interfering. It was more her own legal position towards the Ukraine (Crimea).

Azerbaijan:
Historical bridge on brink of collapse

A thousand-year-old bridge in Azerbaijan
is on the brink of collapse
due to neglect
by the occupying Armenian army.

The Khudaferin Bridge in Jabrayil province
has suffered nearly three decades of neglect.
