After all countries recognize it then finally it will be forgotten..

If I were Turkey, I would build a huge memorial for it, sorry for what happened (intercommunal conflict) where we have no responsibility as Republic. In the end, those armenians were citizens of Ottoman Empire not Armenia, Turkey should steal the role.

Republic of Turkey is the successor of the Ottoman Empire.

They are making us Turks guilty no matter what if its the Ottomans and the Republic. Their whole problem is us not one country or an empire. Their problem is with us.

Guess what now Greeks and Armenians are crying and whining about how Ataturk is a war criminial. A german politician(bir utanmaz bir pic hic adini soylemicem) said that if Ataturk was alive he would be tried for war crimes. They are resmen calling our founding fathers as war criminals.

Once we recognise and apologise you really think they will stop there???

They will ask and demand even more. We owe nothing to these Christians perhaps they should read their bible properly that God punishes liars.

We have nothing to apologise about. Armenians got massacred nothing else it was not a genocide but a civil war between the ethnic groups breaking away from the Ottoman Empire.

The reason for recognizing this fake genocide isnt because of its supposed act but because certain western nations want to piss on our face. I agree that we should just ignore it but I dont think that they should easily get away with it.

We should recognise the genocide and massacres done by the West in its conquests and colonisations.

Heck even do it with the Romans and Greeka since the Westerners along with Europeans constantly jack off to them.

All the documents show that Ottoman Empire lost unbelievable amount of civilians during the war, historians know that it caused mostly by poverty and lack of security. I would build a Memorial for all, not only Armenians, Greeks, Kurds or Turks but all.. And Show the world real history... propaganda.. Denying it takes more attention.. Turkey will not pay anything or give land to those idiots but we can't say no armenians were harmed during the process.. They attacked civilians so you got a revenge.. I will mention this too.. despite all of you will got irritated, Greeks massacred lot of Turks in Cyprus between 1963 and 1974, and most dramatic incidents happened after Turkish Army came, when the army stop advancing and wait for diplomatic process, Greeks killed hundreds of civilians.. So what we did? We got revenge with that anger, hundreds of Greek POW and may be even Civilians killed for revenge, that is a war phycology. Armenians betrayed, attacked, massacred, Kurds and Turks, then government expel them with very bad conditions.. so some people got their revenge from those people. It was not a genocide but if you deny everything that happened all at once and don't fight with the bad propaganda then lies become truths.. They say 1.5 million armenian killed.. That was the whole population, then where did those US, French armenians came from?? Illogical numbers presented as facts.. A lot of them just moved to other countries, some remained in Turkey, some died while fighting, some fled to Armenia.. But world believes lies as you don't surface facts and deny. Still a lot of Armenians died and nobody knows how many, it is a fact.

And let them recognize it, aren't you sick of being blackmailed by this shit? No land or compensation to any fucker if they want they can declare war to Turkey..

Main participant of WW1 and the largest biggest army was of the British. They were also the winners.
History is written by the winners.
After the war, all Ottoman top brass and MP’s were taken to Malta and put on trial for war crimes including the so called “Armenian genocide”. British had occupied Istanbul. And had full access to Ottoman archives. They knew who ordered what. None of those put on trial were convicted of so called “Armenian genocide”. British concluded that it was a war time killings that occurred on both sides.
Turkey clearly says: let us investigate Ottoman records and see if a genocide occurred by the state hands and orders. But the west and the supporters of this so called genocide, refrain from it. Because it is not true!

I think there is a confusion here.

Genocide has a very specific definition. When a state adopts a policy regarding the eradiction of an ethnicity that is genocide.

We absolutely dont deny the Armenian casualties. In fact apart from those ''1.5 million!'' freaks, sensible Armenians and Turks largely agree on what happened. The problem is that Armenians believe the Armenian casualties were a planned, ordered Ottoman government policy, hence a genocide. Whereas Turks claim there was no such policy to eradicate Armenians but they had to be deported away from Russian front for obvious security threats in a time where the state was the most desperate and short handed and this led to the unavoidable casualties. Still state did its best to not only preserve Armenian lives but even their properties until they came back after the war. Of course they never came back but the fact that the state did this proves the intentions of it.

This is a link that in which a person in Quora shared photos of some Ottoman telegraphs from that era and gave their meanings with them. Any person with the alphabet and language knowledge today can check them with ease. I encourage you to take a look at what they say.

These being said I think a monument dedicated to all the victims of this brutal time period regardless of their ethnicity would be meaningful and beautiful and would help Turkey with its international reputation.

US and the west like to put a genocide tag onto everyone who they don't like, but the truth is they themselves are the biggest genociders in the whole human history.

I hope our snowflakes in the government and the general snowflakes can be silent for once. No reaction would be the best reaction. I am happy they finally do it, there are more important issues and this is not one of them we should care about.

Because they will see it as a sign of weakness if we let them get away with it and will create more troubles in the future. No one gives a fck about the opinion of americans or the armenians but Turkey has a lot of attack surface and Biden needs to score political points. I see trouble if there is no blowback for his action.

How about Turkey and China going after some nations like France for example with the colonisation of Africa and the congolese genocide by the Belgium people? I think this is something which should be explored, Turkey has growing soft power and u folks have too.

Is this how you respond to bullies, be silent and take it on the chin? What kind of defeatist attitude is that?!

Unfortunately these are the kind of Turkish people we have, we are our own biggest enemy.

"Shhh, we don't recongnise it anyway be silent. "- SnowFlake Turks

My issue with his logic is, if he was able to think rationally he would be aware that being a silent will bring him "more important issues" to solve in the future and not the type he wants to focus on because being silent and not letting them know that there will be consequences for such actions will just encourage them for more hypocritical actions. We know that McKurd is back in the game, we know that they have a fetish for Kurds, we know that they are hypocrites when it comes to human rights issues (see uae arms deal) and we are aware of their growing limitations geopolitcally (see bending over putin).

Being silent is not a wise move. Very thrilled to see what Erdo will do once Biden goes after the Turkish nation literally by acknowledging lies.

Lets see how the talks with the Taliban goes without Turkey, for instance. There are many methods in which Turkey can get back at a multitude of countries. Unfortunately, current government are not active at all and like getting it first!

Hahahaha Kurds actually caring about the armenian massacres???

Kurds are the ones who committed a lot of the atrocities. To make matters is even worse they went after the Assyrians.

Opportunistic pricks.

Another take for these pricks the Armenians even massacred your Kin in eastern Turkey alongside the Turks because to them they massacred anybody who was Muslim and Non Armenian.

My message is also for a lot of Turks who believe in this genocide nonsense too.

Ignore your kin that got massacred just to please the people that hate your guts.

You have some Turks who believe recognising will make shit better. Defeatist pricks. A lot of them are from the leftist and liberal crowd.

Ottoman Empire and the Repiblic of Turkey.

You do realise they are calling our ancestors and our founding fathers as war criminals.

Not to memtion this whole genocide bs is used as a stick to beat down the Turks. I honestly dont see the Germans and the Japanese every day getting beaten down for their war crimes.

Heck the Usa does not even recognise the nanking massacre.
