there is a real bottleneck in basic intermediate pilot training....... we have SF 260 (aging...limited availability...we still remember the accident in Kayseri where we lost two pilots) and KT-1 guess we have 39 of them...... hope to see them soon! Tolga Özbek says: TUSAŞ will begin delivering HÜRKUŞ-2 to the Turkish Air Force in February.
They say a lot of things, as I mentioned they also said they were going to deliver some before 2025 ended as well; so, I'll believe it when I see it.

Given the circumstances, the economy, the covert sanctions, the limited partnership choices, and the amount of simultaneously run projects and orders alike, TAI's performance has been no less than extraordinary.
They've achieved milestone after milestone in record time, often ahead of schedule and they are writing history, landing deals no one thought possible.
Sometimes delays happen. Giants like Boeing and Lockheed are very famous for them in most of their schedules, be it production or delivery.

This exports will put TEI in the top 100 defence and aerospace companies list. The minimum revenue on the list is like one billion dollars

That amount does not need to be taken in one year. It is probably a long term agreement and the amount per year is probably much less.

Ot course not, if it is made in 3 years that would be enough, but there must be other orders on top of this in the revenue so still it is likely that TEI will make into the list.

Turkish defence sector surpassed the $10 billion threshold with $9.87 billion in equipment and $184 million in services exports totalling at $10.054 billion dollars for 2025.

Depending on South Korea's 2025 trade volume we might snatch the #10 position from them.

Wow! December must have been a monster month for defence exports. Probably some being items were delivered!

Details of the design are lacking. Not clear if this is a Desan design or they will just build it.

From Malaysian sources: "MPMS have a endurance of 30 days without resupply , will carried 4 Fast Interceptor Craft ( FIC ) , a heli deck , medical and prisoner facilities....Multi-Purpose Mothership will have a length of 99 meters and accomodation for 70 crews and 30 passengers."
source.

It is a nice little ship, but it clearly shows low cost was the main driving feature of the design. We still are unable to sell larger vessels in bigger numbers, more than 3500 tons, save for AORs.

I was expecting an Akıncı sale for some time, but TB3 was a surprise. With or without a flattop ship like an Indonesian Anadolu or Garibaldi, TB3's STOL design will help Indonesia project power over its island chains without the need for larger runways.
Malaysia ordered a second MPMS.

All users of all Turkish made aircraft tactical or bigger. Light green is potential users who have already shown interest or made contact.

Zafer, it seems to me that you should stock up on dark green paint to paint all of Europe green :)
We are in a process of rapid change and at a tipping point in history so we can see things happening fast. Excellent timing for us having prepared for this. This year is born to be exciting

"Diplomatic circles confirmed to enikos.gr the exploratory discussions between Croatia and Turkey for the construction of 2 to 3 ADA corvettes. The same sources reported that representatives of the manufacturing company “Savunma Teknolojileri Muhendislik ve Ticaret” (STM) recently met in Zagreb for meetings. The Turkish Embassy there is said to play a special role, which has already made exploratory contacts with the Croatian Minister of Defense. The discussions follow the visit of the Turkish Corvette Burgazada to Split last October.

...Turkey is said to maintain its lead with its main weapons, the lower cost (250 million per corvette instead of 300-500 million that the corresponding proposals from the competition cost) and faster delivery (they already have one that they would have given to the Ukrainians but could not due to the Montreux Convention)."

Unsure about this but an interesting claim. Piece is hardly anything to write home about, claiming Ada Class was started in 2015 and is based on Freedom Class LCS and that Turkey doesn't deliver Ivan Mazepa to Ukraine because of Montreux, instead of you know, the Russian Black Sea Fleet. Maybe the "European customer" we read about a month or two ago wasn't Romania.
Let's dust this off.

Croatia is planning for 2+1 corvettes/light frigates in a program that is planned to be between 600m-1.6billion euros. More than 10 shipyards are interested, along with Turkish participants.

According to the above news, the purchase of 6 units of t-129 Atak helicopter by Bangladesh is going ahead. Apparently, the deal is being done via a “government to government” agreement. Two more like it and we will have sold the quantity of t-129 s we missed out on with Pakistan.

🚨 2 Billion TL Compensation Decision in Otokar’s Romania Project

🇹🇷🇷🇴 Otokar has agreed to pay approximately 2 billion TL in compensation due to schedule delays in the contract for 1,059 armored vehicles signed with Romania.

📌 Delay Details:

▪️Local production preparation interim targets: 1.88 billion TL

▪️Delay in first batch vehicle delivery: 72 million TL

💰 Offset Process: The compensation amounts will be offset against the company’s 2025 project earnings. Otokar announced that negotiations and work are ongoing to ensure the project’s continuity.

Why is this happening, is it that very tight schedules offered in the first place.

Yup, Romanians asked for near impossible timelines, Otokar bit the bullet to undercut other 7 or so rivals. I think it was a calculated gamble on their end and they accepted the possible penalties. 860 million tender, 40 million fine.

STM is bringing its advanced autonomous systems technologies to Europe!

Combat-proven Loitering Munition Systems STM KARGU and STM ALPAGU have achieved their first export to a NATO and European Union (EU) member state. KARGU and ALPAGU will be integrated into land platforms.

With this milestone, the STM UAV family is now exported to 4 continents and 15 countries.

So,why cant they name the country?
