He also announced that he intends to buy 12 atak helicopters and there is an offer for 6 turkish jammers
Original source: (starts from 11:19 where he says he went to idef for military deals with turkey)

I'm all for the sales of T-129 and TB2 however, I have my concerns about the electronic warfare equipment falling into the hands of Pro-Iranian's in Iraq...

This indirectly means that Roketsan will also export products. T-129 sale is estimated at $600± million..

Turkish or US engines will be used?

Philippines got 6 with the US engines worth of the total contract was 300m Dollar. This one is double its size, but is it still low enough that the congress gets to be bypassed?

In an Interview with IRAQs MoD Jouma Anad from Al Sharqiya Television, He Declared that they are interested in purchasing TB2, T129 ATAK and electronic warfare systems.

Pls dont tell me that the government is planning to sell koral EW systems? As i not know of any other EW systems in TSK inventory

Lets not forget that Iraq is still under the influence of Iran and USA
They may sabotage such equipment

Must be a misunderstanding defence minister Hulusi Akar speaks of anti drone systems, not EW systems!

Is the government serious about this?
Koral EW systems are one of the best assets in the Turkish inventory
How are they selling this?
Or is koral 2 ready for inventory?

They look serious

They are selling it most likely because Koral NG is around the corner and in comparison Koral will look outdated. Also it will be dumbed down. As every country does with major products it exports.

Can’t justify the sale of Koral any other way tbh.

Selling of Koral to foreign country no matter from where they are west, asia or africa is a BIG mistake!
This is Strategic platform for Turkiye. Even if it is prapre for export variant it is not acceptable.

I hope that media made a mistake and they talking about anti drone system/platform

We have just started to produce and export new strategic products. I agree with you about the approval mechanism. At least, a ''supragovernmental approval and permission commission'' should be established

Keep in mind that in the case of the US such an approval mechanism worked against American interests many times.
We can not bond our hands with a strict mechanism. But we will do due diligence for every sales case.
