What is insult here? Calling Afgan?? He is not from Afghanistan?
I will not get advises from an Afgan about my country!!
Only insult you can find is on his post by callings my posts about 'zero' !!
Be fair .

The user has a name, don't address him by his nationality.
Its in bad taste and no way to have a proper discussion.

This is a forum, where everyone from anywhere can share his views. Doesnt matter from which country or which flag is used in the profile.

No need to fight mod/admin on their decision out here buddy.

Regd the thing that seems to have initiated this, it is his (Agha Sher) opinion, and many hit like on it (many Turks did you will notice).

So there was no need to bring up his nationality (or any identity) if he (backed up by they) finds your posts so far of whatever value.

He did not bring up your (Turk) identity as the reason for it....rather just brought up you.

So you can also bring up just him in countering in same way.

Keep things on same level when someone initiates a criticism on you....if rules are broken by them, just dont respond, stay cool and just report it....and move on when mod decision is made later.

Everyone has a right to their opinion and you have right to yours.

Even if you disagree with mod or admin on something (everyone is imperfect human being in end), there is something larger in forum to gain by putting these things behind.

Dont be that guy that gets stuck on something not worthwhile getting stuck on.

Just best to take it easy, let it go.

Let us get back to the conversation topic.

Cargo plane from the UAE landed in Turkey. Hopefully, Turkey didn't sell them TB2s. These people cannot be trusted.

EDIT: reports that 8 TB2s were sold to UAE for use in Yemen. I though they had their own UAVs or are they only capable of producing plastic mockups themselves?

I don't really think it's regarding tb2 because it's impossible to make tb2 deal and deliver in less than 2 weeks

That depends on how much you pay.
They can always buy Turkish stock or they could buy some other from production line if they pay good enough and the other customer agree.

Most likely a deal has been in the talks and signed long before the visit. Remember that Bayraktar and TAI have orders from many countries that are yet to be identified.

What now, do we have to update the UAV exports map again, I had updated just an hour ago already.

If it makes you feel better, TB2s aren't exactly top-of-the-line golden geese. They are cheap and reliable but UAE will still probably get some South African engineers to try and reverse-engineer it. Which is why you put counter-measures to fry everything if they try to pry it open.

Yemen is screwing the Gulf monarchies six ways from Sunday on every front, it's been their single biggest headache of the past decade. If I was Erdogan, I'd actually be funding the Yemenis to inflict as much damage on the UAE and Saudi Arabia as possible and wrestle them away from Iranian influence but that's just me.

IMO, this would be catastrophic
The Yemenis are divided into the Shia faction and the Gulf faction; who would you want to aid? I would never wanna aid the Shia faction as this would empower Iran. Empowering Iran will screw Turkey even more since this will give Iran a powerful tool; i-e, a say in one of the most important maritime routes ever between Asia and EU.

Empowering the gulf for now, is beneficial, as they dont have a brain. However, the Iranians do have a brain. The moment they get a decent pressuring card, they will use it to the fullest. Just look at what Iran is doing to EU with its nuclear program negotiations, loool. Trust me, if you actually delved into the issue, you would find that Iran is actually toying with the EU

Mate, while TB2s are amazing for its class, they arent anything breaking through in terms of tech. What makes TB2 truly lethal is how Turkish soldiers couple them with EW systems
Dont forget that TB3 is already on its way to the TSK as well; which is supposed to be an improved version of TB2s

This is just my 2 cents on the issue though

+ COTS equipment and open architecture to adopt another COTS as replacement in a short time in case of embargoes or discontinued products.
Easy to maintain, easy to get spares even if it is embargoed.

TB3 may not have COTS equipment as much as TB2 does because the Turkish Navy will rely on that for a while for LHD based operations. It will be made similary to ANKA in terms of electronics etc.

"While there’s still no official confirmation of the purchase, Russian media outlets have reportedly claimed that the UAE had dispatched a cargo plane to Turkey to that end"

UAE forces left yemen long time ago , they just support the ( Southern Transitional Council ) with funding and other things . UAE will not attack the Houthi because of the big consequence of such decision . Plus , UAE and iran relation are much stronger than you think .

the only possible way that justify this potential deal is UAE want to reverse-engineer TB-2 and use it in their new drone Reach-s .

This idea would not occur to pineapple with an IQ of 0

That's not needed, they got the expertise from Denel dynamics employees involved in the Seeker 400, and Bataleur UAV and recovered TB2 samples from Libya.

I personally doubt they bought the TB2 until I actually see proof of it and Russian source are historically unreliable.

If they did purchase it, it could function as a gap filler until the Reach-S enters service in a couple years.

Surely this has implications for Libya?

I mean Turkey wouldn't sell TB-2s without considering where they would be used. So, perhaps some sort of agreement has been made to discourage UAE support for Haftar etc.
