Otokar signed an export agreement with an unnamed country for 4x4 and 8x8 armored vehicles. The total value of the agreement is 110 million dollars. Arma has been tested by Kazakhstan for some time.

That have to be Kazakhstan. Other than the fact that Arma 8x8 was on tests there also the Minister of Defence also was on official visit to Kazakhstan. They probably also purchased Cobra II 4x4 which is good development.

Self sufficient is the best thing a country could get. But we are telling this for years now, i still dont understand what our ministers are doing.

I live in the Netherlands and 80% of the medicines here are foreign. In coronatime a lot of drugstores didnt have medicines because of transport problems worldwide.

Now the Netherlands declared they would produce their own medicines (even our paracetamol is produced in China) but it wouldnt be easy because of the high salaries and wages domestically produced medicines will get expensive.

If a technical almost superiour Dutch industry couldnt produce their own medicines, how could Turkey do it?

Netherlands can produce only thing is money! We are buying paracetemol for 2 euro max, if we would produce it in Netherlands it will cost 7 euro, EU faked ther own when they decided to shift produce of medicine to China. The thing is money and not technology, beside that war materials come from China.

Roketsan chief says Tunisia interested in guided bombs for UAVs

Tunisia and Indonesia are both interested in acquiring Roketsan guided munitions for their future unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), according to Murat İkinci, the Turkish company’s general manager.

Looks like anka s sale to Tunisia is still on? @Fachfouch
yeah it might be the case actually Tunisia did already build hangars and facility in an air base north of the country to host the drones so it will not be logical to cancel the deal even under financial or outside pressure

Turkish defense company and automotive manufacturer Otokar has signed a new export agreement worth $110 million for the sale of military vehicles to an undisclosed African country.
The company informed the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) on Tuesday about the deal.
A statement declared that the agreement includes Arma 8x8s and Cobra II 4x4 tactical wheeled armored vehicles, as well as spare parts and training services.
The defense manufacturer said that it is the first Arma 8x8 order from an African country, which hasn’t been disclosed yet.
Despite the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, Otokar continues to increase its exports of armored vehicles, which it designs in-house and for which the says stand out for their high level of protection and superior mobility.

Otokar General Manager Serdar Görgüç, whose views were included in the company statement, said that the armored vehicles are preferred in the international arena, displaying worldwide the nation's defense industry capabilities as well as Turkey's engineers and workers' efforts.
While the deal came from a country that the company has exported to before, this "means that the customer was pleased with the vehicles it included in its inventory, going with Otokar again," Görgüç said.
The company said deliveries will begin in 2021 and will be completed by the end of 2022. The contract will come into effect following the completion of the letter of guarantee, the advance payment getting received and the necessary export permits being obtained.
Otokar's Arma 8x8 is the newest member of the vehicle development program that was initially kicked off in 2007. It was unveiled at the International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF) held in Istanbul in May 2011. The new generation modular, multi-wheel armored vehicle is said to have superior tactical and technical features and is a multipurpose platform that allows for the integration of various mission equipment and weapons systems.
Thanks to its flexible design, the Arma 8x8 can be tailored to different missions in the field, including as a personnel carrier, command or reconnaissance vehicle, infantry fighting vehicle, maintenance and recovery vehicle, mobile gun carrier, radar vehicle or CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) reconnaissance vehicle.
A subsidiary of leading Turkish conglomerate Koç Holding, Otokar vehicles currently offer services to over 50 customers in more than 35 countries.
The company has subsidiaries and joint ventures in France, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Romania and most recently in November 2019, announced a new branch, Otokar Central Asia, in Kazakhstan.
The local commercial and military vehicle manufacturer has over 30 years of experience in both engineering and design in the field of military hardware. It supplies both NATO and the United Nations while retaining a good deal of intellectual property rights over its products.

After Karabakh war started and Azerbaijan took advance in all field thanks to some Turkish machines, Turkish defence minister Hulusi Akar paid official visit to firstly Pakistan and Kazakhstan and later Uzbekistan. The subject is about cooperation and some partnership in defence programs. Hulusi Akar stated that the negotiations passed perfect and We took great promises about some programs.
Most likely, Turkey is planning to establish a joint military organisation using same/similar assets manufactured by Turkiye and brother states.

What about a Turkic + friends EADS equivalent? Add Pakistan, Qatar, Libya, Nigeria ( all oil rich) and Indonesia on it.
