We sold to KSA and UAE. I don't think it would be a problem if India placed an order.

The replenishment tanker deal is pretty sizeable for example. Hopefully paves way for better things in future.

The first link said those are just 4! even if they were 10 that's still a lot.
Well...that was 4 for a lease, that was separate thing that went into acquisition for (supposedly 10).... first link I mean the one embedded in the tweets.

Then these twitter people are inferring/speculating the cost of 10 to apply to those 4 (changed from lease to bought)....there is no indication of that from official sources.

40 million a drone for heron TP capability at relative short notice sounds alright to me (about what a reaper costs within NATO iirc) given the weapons integration afforded....and especially given India and Israel are working on joint UAV program.

Are those supposed to counter the Akinci from the Pakistani side?

No not really, these are to monitor deeper into China iirc as the main role for now. Generally the earlier herons integrated with other assets are used in the other front with Pakistan....and will be in process of being upgraded this decade.

India own UAV ecosystem has had a slow start (program priority was relatively low) though things are changing now.

India wont place an order tbh; as I said, it all boils down to PRIDE!

Just like how Russia never agreed to buy drones from China during the current war since it is percieved that the Russians have better military tech than China (although this war showed the Russian military to be garbage!). The same situation is with India! No nation want to admit that a country that just entered the drone market 5 years ago is taking it by a storm. Some will spout bullshit that Israeli drones are better than Akinci or whatever; but deep inside, we all know which is better

Have you seen recent Chinese articles on Turkish drones? The chinese are furious that the market which the Chinese thought to have conquered, is now under the thumb of Turkey! Hell, Turkey in 5 years only sold as much UAVs to many countries as China did in its 10 years in the drone market and this is just the beginning

More and ore Turkish companies are popping out in such areas and Turkey is leading the drone market by a storm. This is something which nations who are percieved to have "superior" military, like China, Russia, India, Israel etc will never admit no matter what

It really doesn't.
Countries which act through emotions (e.g. pride) tend to lose in the international arena.
A country should always look for opportunities even with adversaries. Interest come first. Doing emotional politics is dumb.

For that reason, India had reinstated the replenishment ship deal after deciding to put it on hold. I think they made the right choice in the end.

Well pride, ego (or more mundane internal bureaucracy + politics) plays a role true, but its not so big like you say here...at least in India case.

India imports/collaborates on defence products from countries around the same perceived strength as Turkey or even noticeably weaker for example....

Brazil, South Africa, Ukraine, Singapore come to mind....and there are others too (it depends what you consider a defence product, since many are dual use).

The issue with TR specifically is a political/geopolitical based one that needs to change more (from both sides) to accommodate a greater defence product trade component. These things come specifically when its defence based, as that requires a greater alignment among administrations and bureaucracies to build the trust and networking there (given what defence represents compared to regular activities of a country).

In regular economic trade, India-Turk relationship is overall the world average (relative to their economy sizes and best competitive sectors etc) and even ahead of the average.

Turkiye-India-Pakistan is bit like Turkiye-Russia-Ukraine

TURKIYE had far more cooperation with Ukraine/Pakistan so Turkiye have to consider that.

in defence product we have to help the weak side much while we wish good relationship with Russia/India

India can use drones to counter actions of China too, so they have other concerns than Pakistan alone. If it becomes a problem for Pakistan we can stop selling more, but we should start selling first so that we can stop selling later.

Japanese are angry because their laws stop them from exporting now things are changing as Japan is going into the arms industry market.

seriously sometimes i don't understand you guys. Those who have done business with Pakistan or attended the necessary meetings see how great their contribution to us is. Why should we break our relationship with Pakistan? Pakistan is not a one-time but a regular customer as well.

our export result is very good but we still need to open the market of first world countries such as G7 countries.

we sold parts and guns to American but still do not sell any full set weapon to the first weapon

Selling drones to India means they pay the money to Türkiye and not to one of the other 3 big players. If we don't sell someone else already does.

Indian never buy chinese weapons.

for us,i think that s the problem of indian part, not ours.I think if indian ask us for selling Tb2,we will sell that.

But if i was indian,i would have doubt that Turkiye share all the data to Pakistan and prefer US drones.
