Gökdeniz really became a hit and a strong competitor in its class, I'm glad. It will basically be installed on all new warships of our navy of a certain size and it gives me confidence about survivability of our fleet.

Aselsan is working on 30mm and 25mm products similar to Gökdeniz. 30mm might be a good alternative to the current 35mm Gökdeniz, especially for the smaller platforms.

The growing YÖRÜK vehicle starts its mission with exports:
- The YÖRÜK 4X4 Extended Wheelbase (NMS 4X4 EWB) configuration configuration will be exported to Estonia for the first time
- Thanks to the width provided by the extended wheelbase, the YÖRÜK 4X4, which previously had a carrying capacity of up to 7 people, increases this number to 11 people
- YÖRÜK 4X4 armored vehicles will be adapted to the special needs of the Estonian army, and various mission equipment in the Estonian army inventory will be installed in the vehicles
- Estonian President Alar Karis was closely interested in the vehicle during his visit to Nurol Makina and received information about the project
- Having ordered 100 YÖRÜK 4X4s and expected to receive the vehicles within 1 year, Estonia has become the 6th country and 3rd NATO member to choose this vehicle.

Indonesian police special forces vehicles in the background with their signature red wheel covers, probably getting ready for a new batch of delivery. Looks like the delivery is delayed by few months tho.

“ The first batch of the order of approximately 80 units was delivered to the user authority. The remaining orders are expected to be completed in May 2024.”

TAI part of Boeing and Spirit counterfeit titanium scandal. This might have contributed to TK's ouster. Really bad for TAI's reputation and business.

From the NYT:
For many years, the American airline Lockheed willingly purchased titanium mined in the Soviet Union using forged documents. This global deception involved dozens of front companies created by the CIA:cool: around the world. But America didn’t seem to complain to anyone, Lockheed created an excellent reconnaissance aircraft - the famous SR71-Blackbird,
masterpiece of military aviation

and no one thought about the tarnished reputation, everything was just wonderful;)

And when the Americans themselves began to be deceived by the same methods, America suddenly burst out with a cry about The Great Injustice of the Century!!! :ROFLMAO:

As far as I understand, no one suspects Boeing itself of falsifying documents.
Why did it happen?
Caesar's wife is above suspicion?!
I answered, but then, however, having clarified some nuances, I apolojized.

But now it's the company's turn to file a petition...

“American aircraft giant Boeing has agreed to plead guilty to conspiracy to defraud to stop the investigation into two fatal crashes of its 737 MAX aircraft.”

Answer to a lot of members’ question about export version of Turkish defence equipment has been given in the above news piece.
Apparently Turkish defence companies produce export versions of defence equipment according to the level of friendliness of the country buying them when selling. Apart from that the equipment is traced via GPS etc about where it is being used and if it is ending up in wrong hands or not.

Export equipment is manufactured as a lower capability version of the ones that is delivered to Turkish armed forces, in accordance with the friendliness of the country buying it. In other words, whilst what Azerbaijan receives may be not much different from TSK‘ equipment, UAE or Saudi delivered equipment will not be at the same level of competence.

Make sense. I guess all the state of art technologies are software defined these days, much easier to create the variations and impose limits on certain capabilities.

The first export of the Roketsan ATMACA Anti-Ship Missile, Turkey's first national naval missile, was made to Indonesia. After Indonesia, Malaysia also preferred ATMACA. In the final stage, a total of ~500 missiles are expected to be exported.

We have long wanted to purchase Bal E anti-ship missiles from Russia. But we were refused. Here is what the Russian Kommersant wrote about this in 2018: “As Kommersant found out, the supply of the Bal-E coastal missile system (BRK) to the armed forces of Azerbaijan fell through due to the position of the Russian Ministry of Defense. The Russian military considered that even an export modification of the missile of this complex may pose a potential threat to the ships of the Caspian Flotilla of the Russian Federation,
located in Russian territorial waters. The refusal to supply one type of product itself is not critical for Russia: in recent years, Baku has purchased Russian weapons and equipment for a total of $5 billion.”

A few years later, everything changed: Russia now does not know where to hide its “glorious”, “legendary” naval forces

I wonder if the Atmaса anti-ship missile can be carried in the internal compartment of Kizielma and Ankа3?
Aksungur? Akynchy?
