With the advance payment to be made in 2032–33, an 84-month timeline will commence. The first aircraft delivery will take place 48 months after the advance payment (i.e., in 2036–37), and the final aircraft delivery will occur at the end of 84 months (i.e., in 2039–40). A similar delivery schedule will be applied for the additional 12 aircraft thereafter.
All 48 Indonesian Kaans will be delivered in 120 months (June 2035) . Indonesia also has an option for +12 fighters. TAI plans to deliver the last fighter in 2034 before the official deadline
These are two very different timelines. That's because there is no official deal yet and because officials didn't disclose the actual details of the proposed deal to actual journalists who actually ask questions. With the advance payment to be made in 2032–33, an 84-month timeline will commence. mTT's quote sounds like a more realistic time table to me, considering as there is no deal signed yet, why would the 120 months total start now? But again, we don't have the details. This is actively being moved forward as we speak.

These delivery dates are for IndonesiaIf the bottleneck is the availability of a Turkish engine and that sets the first delivery date of KAAN's export to 2036, then it's not good news for us either.
I know. I wrote "KAAN's export" explicitly. These delivery dates are for Indonesia
Actually, the situation with the engine is different. The Turkish engine is targeted to be ready by 2030, and work is progressing accordingly. The delivery schedule (starting from 2036–37) is determined solely based on the contract structure and production planning with Indonesia. So, it does not mean that the engine won’t be ready by that time.I know. I wrote "KAAN's export" explicitly.
KAAN being a true 5th gen is contingent on the Turkish engine. If the engine is not ready for Indonesians by that date, it won't be ready for us either.
What does ready mean in this context? is it the first firing of the engine? is it the first flight? is it the LRIP? or is it the serial production? The Turkish engine is targeted to be ready by 2030, and work is progressing accordingly.
Do you actually have this information, or is it speculation? The delivery schedule (starting from 2036–37) is determined solely based on the contract structure and production planning with Indonesia.

we're going in circles. That post simply says the first delivery will begin in 11-12 years. It does not provide any rationale for the seemingly late deliveries. That was the origin of my speculation in the first place.Source :
TAI has branch office for airframe designing in Bandung.
- Are there any Turkish defense industry companies based in Indonesia?
- What is the name of TAI’s company in Indonesia?
Well our deliveries take priority, if planned rate is 24 per year ( and not immediately, so it will ramp up slowly) then 3-4 years only deliveries to TurAFwe're going in circles. Of course, it's not quite a Kaan, but let me share an export news of my own. As of now, we at @Blitzteknoloji have exported our indigenously developed gimbal systems to yet another country.
With this latest development, two of the G7 countries have now chosen Turkish-made gimbals for their armed forces, and soon this number will rise to three.
God willing, our goal is to have our products in use somewhere in the world at every moment. That goal is no longer far away!
