In this current Situation it's not the Time to make such a Deal with an Israeli Company. If they stop their Action in Gaza, stop the Settlement Policy and reconize Palestine. In this Case the Deal will be ok.

If the deal is destined for Morocco, then rest assured that such a deal took place a while ago. This is just Elbit publishing a deal that was made between them, and a foreign client.

Abdellatif Loudiyi, Minister Delegate in charge of the National Defense Administration, revealed that Morocco began working during the current year on preparing a vision for the creation of industrial zones specialized in the field of defense industry, stressing that “the Kingdom has taken firm steps towards establishing an advanced defense industry, and it has a group of foreign requests for investment.”

Morocco took steady steps towards establishing an advanced defense industry,” through “partnerships and agreements that it concluded with a number of “The leading countries in this field, in order to develop the armed forces’ self-equipment.”

Abdellatif Loudiy also pointed out that “defense industries would encourage competition within Moroccan universities to develop scientific research,” pointing out that “in this context, a group of specialized companies has submitted applications for a license to invest in the field of defense industries, knowing that these applications are subject to a set of conditions.” Technical, economic, legal, and technological.”

Key points:

Manufacturing project between the armed forces, and Moroccan scientific research center as well as coordination with universities.

Creating an advanced ecosystem of different companies specialized in different fields.

Welcoming foreign companies to invest in Morocco, and share their expertise. This is already underway as we speak, without mentioning details :)

The “AI MOVEMENT” Center of the Mohammed VI University of Technical Sciences is delving into the use of artificial intelligence in the military field, by developing drones with a superior ability to capture what is happening inside fixed facilities, as well as moving objects, such as vehicles being scanned. These drones have the ability to photograph what is inside the facilities without the need to storm them, and on the ground, they are able to provide information. Accurate, such as identifying car bombs.

State-run Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) signed a memorandum of understanding with the International University of Rabat in the field of artificial intelligence and aeronautics research earlier this year.

It will be nice if you provide the source, and is this Abrams exclusive or are there any plans to fit other Moroccan ground assets with similar BMS ?

The Moroccan military magazine just released some sweet information regarding our BFT on our ground assets. The Moroccan army succeeded in creating a new military system called "Blue Force Tracking" that is installed on tanks and armored vehicles.

It provides real-time data and topographic maps to armored crews, marks friendly locations and enemy locations, and analyses incoming information/threats.

We also have SIC, SIGT, and SICOB systems developed by the Moroccan army.

Three innovative computer projects realized internally by the Information Development Team of the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces that add high value to the training and operation of the Moroccan Armored Corps.

SIC:

Confirmed by Captain Yusnus Ghafiri from the armored training center, that the system was successfully tested during the “Tafilalet 2018” maneuvers with specific operational requirements. Successful requirements when it comes to sharing data in real-time, which assists the armed forces in making quick field decisions.

SIGT air support system:

Ground information system that was produced in joint efforts between the armored training center, and elements from the second airbase in Meknes. The system was mentioned by Lieutenant Anas Aouragh, who said that the system is purely a Moroccan system to assist CAS ( Close air support).

SICOB virtual reality training system:

Combat simulator that provided basic functions in a new innovative way for beginner units in the armored brigades, and is adapted to better meet operation needs. The system was also tested during the “Tafilalet 2018” maneuvers.

Mid-2023 I reported that the Moroccan Air Force is continuing its negotiation of the F15-EX. Last month a Moroccan military delegation visited the Saudi company Al-salam which possesses advanced capabilities in producing parts of the F-15. Will Morocco procure the F-15EX, and will we produce major parts of the fighter jet?🤔

The Moroccan border guards are seen with a new helmet produced in Morocco under a license from the Indian firm MKU. Hopefully, it will be circulated to all the infantry units.

@Nilgiri

They've got the MACS accessory interface system as well - a clip-on rail that ensures no holes are drilled into the helmet's shell (which would otherwise slightly compromise it's integrity around those spots).

Any idea about the total numbers?

MKU has been exporting helmets to several countries lately but this is the first time I'm hearing of local license production which is typically done for larger order quantities
