Çalık will do power line work in Afghanistan
Çalık Holding signed an energy contract in Afghanistan under the Taliban regime. Çalık Enerji will undertake the voltage boosting of the country's Nur-el-Cihad substation.

Çalık Holding, which undertook the electricity transmission line project in Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan by signing an energy agreement with the former administration of Afghanistan, undertook the construction of a double-circuit power transmission line in Afghanistan, where there was an energy problem. Afghanistan electricity utility Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) announced that after four days of negotiations, a Tripartite Energy Sector Development Protocol was signed between Afghanistan, Turkmenistan and Çalık Holding.
Within the scope of the protocol, Çalık Enerji, owned by Çalık Holding, will undertake the task of increasing the electricity of the Nur-el-Cihad substation located in the West of Afghanistan from 110 kV to 220 kV.
TALIBAN WILL ACCELERATE TAP FOR TRANSFER INCOME
In its statement, DABS emphasized that they will accelerate the Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan electricity transmission line (TAP) project and the Sheberghan-Dasht-e-Alvan 500 kV transmission line project, which will enable Turkmenistan's electricity to be transmitted to Kabul and other provinces.
With the Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan electricity transmission line project, it was envisaged to transfer one thousand megawatts of electricity from Turkmenistan to Pakistan. 750 kilometers of the line will pass through the territory of Afghanistan. It is envisaged that the annual transit income of 100 million dollars from the line will be transferred directly to the state treasury of Afghanistan.
